I had very high expectations for this hotel but was unfortunately pretty disappointed. The staff were wondering and so many of them made a special effort to engage with our young son. With that being said, the property itself cannot be a 5-star stay. First, there was a long black hair in our shower that says everything I need to know about the cleanliness of the facility. And that aside, the towels are scratchy, the beds have no support, the rooms are cute but leave a lot left to be desired, and overall the hype did not live up to the reality of this experience. I’m very surprised about the hotel rating. A few more positive notes would be that the rooms seemed very sound proof (unlike many others we’ve experienced in DC), the location cannot be beat, and our check in and checkout were seamless. We also had a good breakfast on our first morning.

A Good Choice in DC
Located close to major museums with lots of nearby restaurants. Spacious room with comfy chair. Excellent shower, but toilet area a little cramped. Nice restaurant and bar, which is popular on Friday evening. Would stay again, although I don't much like the "resort fee." Good value for Washington.
