Great hotel with beautiful lake views
The hotel was beautiful and we had such a great view of the lake from our room. We could have walked to Traverse City (it was cold and windy for our 1 night stay). The hotel upgraded us to a lakefront room that had floor to ceiling windows.

What a gem! I can’t believe how fabulous it was for the price. We received a complimentary glass of local sparkling wine when we checked in. The pool areas are large and well maintained—it was great to have a hot tub and sauna after a long day of hiking. The restaurant had a great menu and all the staff were so friendly. Would stay here again over and over!

Front desk relied too heavily on customer service to be performed by the guest. When I asked how to get to a particular restaurant, I was told to go on my cellphone to lookup the location. This staff member also failed to tell me that the hotel offered a free shuttle to the location. We found this out from another guest! Secondly, when I asked about the yoga classes offered at the site, I was told to search for it online. Not very helpful on either count.

Missed area when renovating.
Everything was great. Very friendly and hospitable staff. The property is great in every area except the breakfast area which looks like it wasn’t brought up to the standards of the rest of the facility. As an interior designer I notice what needs updating. Some how this area was overlooked like tha money.

Our stay was wonderful! The staff was welcoming and helpful. The hot tub, pool, sauna, rooms--everything-- were clean, and there were no hesitations to utilize the amenities. Breakfast was a quick grab and go which was nice.

The rooms were nice and clean and comfy. The view of the bay was beautiful. The patio bar was fun for our family gathering and complimentary breakfast was also very plentiful. My only complaint was the bathroom vanity size very minimal size for getting ready. Also the closet rods were low to the ground and had to hang up bridal dresses and didn’t want them to get wrinkled on the bottom.
