This mountain get-a-way offers paved easy access leading to a short gravel/dirt driveway. Whether you are arriving by motorcycle or car, you will feel right at home.

This beautiful log home sleeps 6. As you walk in the front door the first thing you see is the beautiful great room. The main level is an open floor plan that includes a large living room with a stone wood burning fireplace and a beautiful hand carved mantle, and a dining room opening onto the massive outdoor covered porch, perfect for sitting and taking in the view. This level also has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry closet with full-size washer/dryer and large kitchen pantry. Off to the right of the stairs is the master bedroom with king bed and full en-suite bathroom with a jetted tub and separate shower. There are flat-screen televisions in the living room and upstairs bedroom with cable TV and high-speed internet and Wi-Fi. The upper level includes one bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom with shower/tub and a loft bedroom with one queen bed.

Outside you’ll be sure to spend time in the brand new six-person hot tub regaling the day as steaks are cooking on the grill. Spend your evening by the fire pit, a must for stargazers any season of the year! A porch swing is located at the entrance of the home for hours of gliding your cares away.

Please note this is a dog friendly property for dogs 30 pounds or less. It is the guest's responsibility to contact the property manager at Maggie Mountain Vacations as there is an additional non-refundable pet fee per dog, not included in the base rent. If you’re coming for a long weekend to visit the famed Biltmore Estate, it’s only 35 minutes away. If you’re staying in town and exploring Maggie Valley you can visit the Wheels Through Time Transportation Museum or go skiing at Cataloochee Ski Area or snowtubing at Tube World. If you’re staying for a week (or longer!) to take in the multitude of outdoor activities the area has to offer, this home will not disappoint. Located less than 20 minutes to downtown Maggie Valley, less than 25 minutes to downtown Waynesville, and 6 miles to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this cabin offers a great location in the middle of it all! Holidays
The location was good and the cabinet too. We did really had hard time to get a hold of the management. I do understand that during the holidays they closed but we were unable to reach out for like 3 days. The hot tub was wronken and we couldn't use because no one was available to check it also all the trash places that they provided were closed and we didn't have where to throw the trash away and if you leave the trash there is like 50 per bag...

Perfect cabin
Everything was excellent , place was extremely clean, check in was great, beds comfortable! Only downfall was having to bring your garbage to a dumpster to dispose of. Would definitely rent again!

Weekend getaway
Nice weekend getaway with the family. Convenient location. We drove to Asheville one day to tour the biltmore and then ate a late lunch at Tupelo Honey, which was amazing! The next day we hung out at the house and watched some movies and then went snow tubing that night.

Helpful management team
The property was not as nice as several where we have stayed in the past. The property management group does a superior job in all aspects of dealing with guests who stay at the property and are so pleasant to work with.

Relaxing sunset view over the mountains
We enjoyed every bit of what the house offered for our comfort away from home. The kitchen was very well appointed with excellent tools for those who like to cook meals! We enjoyed our stay at the house but we also enjoyed visiting Waynesville, Lake Junalusca, Bryson City and Silva.

Quiet In the Mountains
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Wakulla Woods! A beautiful cabin tucked away on a quiet street with wonderful, helpful neighbors this made a perfect stay for us. Easy access to all of WNC and the mountains and all the comforts of home while being surrounded by the beautiful mountains and forest. As an added bonus we appreciated that the property management was very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend to those looking for a place to stay in WNC.

Great experience! Easy check in, Property reflects the description. Would come back again. Only call out to the surrounding area Maggie Valley, waynesville. We were unable to eat out at all the nearby resturant. All had 1.5 to 2 hour waits to eat. Not because it was busy or good food no help!!!! None of the local restaurants had help to serve , no cooks, no waitress. We had no idea how bad the rest of country is dealing with pandemic. In fla we have no issues eating at the local restaurants at all. We were informed by the restaurants that they can not get the help to return to work.. everyone is short people. Pack a lunch and go to Publix other wise you You Will certainly be very hangery..

Very cute, comfortable, inviting home
Home is very nice! There were 3 adult couples and a pup overall. This house fit us very well with the 3 very comfortable large beds. I didn't read the property title and saw there were 3 bedrooms in the description so the loft was a surprise, but that's my mistake. FYI, in case you missed it too! Kitchen is well stocked with supplies (although knife sharpening would be beneficial.) We enjoyed the hot tub every night with the unusually cool May weekend. Hot tub and house was clean! House was easy to find, secluded enough that it was private, but not in the middle of nowhere either. Check-in packet was useful and staff was kind when we called the office in advance to confirm a few things. Only negative was that there was an additional $50 trash fee and an additional $100 pet fee on top of VRBO price, neither of which were clear until after we booked. I thought since I selected 1 dog in the listing it would have been included, but it was not. House was worth it, but wish I knew up front about those extra costs.

Great family vacation
The house was exactly as described. We loved the location in a quiet neighborhood, but very close to Waynesville and Maggie Valley. We were impressed with how well the house was stocked (I.e kitchen utensils, towels, family games). We loved being able to bring our medium-sized dog with us. She really enjoyed going with us on our hikes. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub after hiking. We also found Waynesville to be very dog friendly. The wifi worked well and my husband was able to video conference from home some of the days. The house was an added perk to our great trip to the Smokies!
