Wonderful

We asked not to be put in a room along the street side, and they proceeded to tell me there will be not much traffic and that they would give me earplugs. If I wanted a different room, I would have to pay extra money. We will never stay here again.
We were interested in this hotel because it is historic. Actually, there are in the early stages of restoration. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The windows/walls have not yet been brought up to modern standards and can be noisy depending on the side facing the streets.
The large meeting/activities area on the ground floor is well furnished with period-appropriate appointments. Breakfasts were what we most looked forward to. The potato-chesse quiche was hand-made and wonderful as were the muffins and juices.
Kalispell is a great place from which to explore Glacier NP and the surrounding area.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Incredibly rude staff. Front desk staff did not greet me, they grimaced and asked for my name. The rooms were freezing. Window A/C units like you use at home were still in the window being late October in Montana! The units were not weather proofed and we had difficulty getting the heat to work. We woke up freezing at 2 am. To boot the hotel is on main Street which is also the interstate route to whitefish. It was incedibl loud hearing cars drag race up and down the strip well past midnight. You will also hear semi truck traffic all night. Unimpressed with every aspect of the stay
Beautiful old hotel in downtown Kalispell with lots of charm! An older property, but the management has done a lovely job providing amenities and style to guests. Highly recommend for a nice hotel at a lower price point than others around Glacier Natl Park!

Was in a very small room that was very loud, right next to the road. Not worth over $100 that I paid for the room.

The Kalispell Grand Hotel has a charming, historic ambiance. The front entrance has a welcoming, classic appeal, setting the tone for this lovely older hotel.
The building’s age does mean that some features, like the elevators are slow. We heard it might be undergoing some renovations. These updates should really help elevate the experience while keeping the historic character intact. There is a a lot of potential, and we look forward to seeing how it evolves.
The best part of the hotel was the staff. Megan and the hotel manager did a great job describing local restaurants. One thing I enjoyed was the Quiche for breakfast and cookies and popcorn snacks. These were a plus.
The bedroom & bathroom were a bit on the sad side.
Poor windows with an ac unit in the window , meant the room was very noisy from outside road traffic, The cheap blinds were just cheap & didn’t help noise & let a certain amount of light in from the street .
some of the reception staff were pretty bored looking . I did spend more nights than planned because of the convenient location
The staff was nice and helpful but the hotel is very dated and limited on conveniences, can definitely smell the musty smell from age. Just not what we were looking for.
The hotel was not the same as what was shown in the photos. Our room had no curtains, only blinds and it had a window unit in it. The room amenities were lacking and the bathroom needs updating.
The elevator didn't work. Our door didn't really lock. We piled our suitcases in front of the door.
We checked out after the first night losing two nights that we paid for. That is how bad it was.
Loved the historical aspect of hotel. The homemade breakfasts were great and yummy! Popcorn and cookies in afternoon were an added bonus. Really enjoyed our stay. Will most likely be back.
The hotel, itself is nice. The single rooms are very small though and if you are going to stay here, ask about a room not facing the main road as you hear everything.
