Short stay
The hotel was in a beautiful setting with a lovely pool area but the service from staff left a lot to be desired. We booked into the restaurant for our evening meal at 9pm (the restaurant was serving till 9.30pm). We had 2 courses and the food was delicious but by 9.25 our waitress had disappeared after sitting there for quite a while we got up to leave with this the waitress came from behind the back and approached us asking if we wanted to see the desert menu. On our 2nd day when the housekeeping staff came to service the room we thought at first we had been missed because the bed was not made but on closer examination noticed that the tea tray had been replenished so they had been in but not done a very good job. Breakfasts were very good a lot of choice.

The only criticism was that breakfast seemed to be a bit unorganised. Multiple areas were empty for the duration we were in there, and two of the coffee machines were out of order meaning a long wait for a drink. It just needed a few more staff to support as there was a wedding party the night before. The pool was pleasant and quiet, and the hotel room was absolutely spot on.

Huge impressing grounds but then a tiny pool and nothing behing the hotel so nowhere to really go for a walk. Rooms don't have AC so it was HOT (though they do provide a fan). On the plus side, the staff are amazing and try and help out even when things go wrong at dinner (over crowded one night and took forever the next)! Great location for Winchester and surrounding.

A very pleasant stay at Norton Park
It was our first stay at Norton Park Hotel. we were taking our puppy first time out of our home, initially we worried either he can cope up with new atmosphere and rooms. The hotel is dog friendly and Oscar had his own bed and they are charing 25 per day and stayed for 2 days. Dogs are not allowed in restaurant, however, you can have your breakfast in hallway first floor. Their new restaurant is opening soon, may be they will allow in, we had a lovely time. Norton Park is a beautiful location! Our room was spacious and clean, I love the Gym and well maintained. There are paths around the pond and Health Club & Spa. Great walks behind the hotel for river views and good to walk with your dogs.

Could do better
No toilet rolls or hand towels when we arrived. Room smelt and still does. We checked in on time but had a family dinner so went out. Got back late and room still smelt but couldn’t be bothered to change it. When I mentioned to the chap on reception that we had no toilet paper all I got was I’m busy. He should have said “give me 2 minutes and I’ll sort it”. Then I would not have got annoyed.
