This is a bang average hotel in a beautiful location. Needs serious maintenance. Also a 4* hotel that doesn't offer conditioner? Terrible Staff are fantastic though.

Paid for a lake side view and didn’t have a view of the lake. Booked a double room and got 2 single beds. £40 additional charge for 2 people to use the swimming pool. Mould in bathroom.

We had a lovely weekend stay. The hotel had a great view of the lake. It was also very clean but most of all the staff were excellent. They were friendly and very helpful. We had dinner on 2 nights and the food was excellent. It was unfortunate that our bill had a query at the end of our stay but was amended immediately. Would definitely stay again.

nice location shame about the room very poor condition curtains full of black mould wallpaper hanging of behind where kettle located had to remove 4 slugs over a two night stay mould around bath tub

Fantastic views and room, restaurant and bar all good. Nowhere to walk on foot from the hotel as no pavement in any direction. Property looking very slightly past its best and has lots of stairs with no lift so anyone with limited mobility may want to look elsewhere, that said staff were good and food including continental breakfast were great

Came for a few days, generally was a nice stay. Cleanliness was good, staff very helpful and friendly. Few let downs for me were the breakfast - it was advertised as continental which is fine but anything cooked or hot was an extra charge which was cheeky. Not known for this to be charged extra at any place before. The spa, pool was also charged at extra per person - I would understand the massages etc are chargeable but to use the pool hot tub sauna & steam at an extra rate was also disappointing. A lot of add ons which you would assume are inclusive of your stay but in actual fact - not. The hotel is quite dated and needs modernisation which in some areas was in action. There are no lifts so a lot of stairs to tackle. Overall was an average stay could have been better.

The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, and restaurant staff really nice. Wouldn't stay again. Booked a lake view didn't get one, asked to change room, they said they were full, i tried booking a room online and it let me. Overall the hotel was very tired looking, the spa was okay.

Weekend at beach hill hotel.
The stay was good, the concern Hotels.com who is proposing rooms with the wrong descriptions. The pictures don't reflects the realities, the rooms are below the level of the spa, so it is not lake view, you need a to jump in a chaise to see the lake when u are inside the room. The room is in front of the stairs and the storage of the hotel. They waike you up at 6am as the staff starts working. So the pictures show by Hotel.com are wrong.

The views of the lake were stunning. The staff made the place feel welcoming. Checking in was quick and easy after using the online check in service. The properly was extremely clean. We will be going again in the future.

Had a lovely last minute stay. The room we were given was beautiful. It over looked the lake and had an area outside to sit and enjoy drinks. The restaurant was amazing, The food was delicious and very well presented. The view overlooking scenery was lovely. The spa was clean and well maintained. Only downside was no one was at the spa reception, so wasn’t able to inquire about booking treatments. Overall fantastic stay.

We were amazed when we opened the door to our room! The view was mesmerising, and that’s what really made our stay! The staff were so friendly, on reception and the waiters and waitresses and the food was of amazing quality and good value for money! Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is tired in places, but the location and views are amazing. The beds and pillows quite important are of poor quality and uncomfortable my rating would have been higher if the bed had been more comfortable. Tha bathroom light switch was very dodgy but the bathrooms had been renovated. The hairdryer sounded like it was not working. I enjoyed my stay my advice would be upgrade the beds and bedding.

The walls are very thin, you can hear everything in the rooms next door and passing through the corridor which woke me up during the night. The sauna in the spa was not working yet the full price was charged for use of the spa.
