The property itself is lovely and the rooms are spacious with very comfy (new) beds. Generous amount of towels given and nice bathroom amenities. We received an upgrade which was a lovely surprise. Beautiful pools and the underwater aquarium is amazing. Buffet breakfast is pretty standard but has a nice view of the fish and aquariums. Few issues - 1. We arrived at 11am and had given prior notice we would be early, early checkin isn’t guaranteed which is fine however our room wasn’t ready until almost 3pm which is an hour after the guaranteed check in time of 2pm! 2. One end of the island looks like a derelict ghost town - everything is closed, the pool is out of order and generally looked rundown and forgotten about. 3. Room service is for nighttime only 4. No real lunch options available which is annoying since you can’t pop down the road to go get food. 5. Coffee pods not replenished daily. The Infinity restaurant is an absolute standout - the food is incredible and lovely staff there. Highly recommend eating here!!

We loved our stay at Daydream. Great to relax, and also to learn about the reef from the onsite marine biologists. Theyre still rebuilding a little after the cyclone, doesn't impede the quality of your holiday.

Ignore all negative reviews! We are a family of 4, 2A 2K (12 & 8). Daydream Island was the best! Previous negative reviews worried me however found them to be completely untrue. My advice is call the resort if you have any questions or aren't clear on things. Rooms- Very clean, spacious Shower had great pressure, beds were so comfortable. Food was delicious and PLENTY! Breakfast had the same menu everyday but we stayed 6 nights and had something different every morning. Room service was available. Food delivered quickly (20 min), hot and very tasty. A great variety for kids and adults available. For lunch you can purchase from "the shack" until 3.30pm or from Salti restaurant (Mediterranean cuisine) Three restaurants open from lunch/Dinner until 8.30pm (booking advised for Salti and Infinity (Asian cuisine). Graze is the 3rd restaurant (ala carte/room service) Honestly, everything we ate were tasty, big servings. Pool bar- they have their own drink menu but will make what you request. A little patience is needed, however no different to any other places we've stayed at. Gift shop sells drinks/snacks/necessities. Customer service - WOW. Everyone was welcoming, smiles on their faces, happy to help. Dylan welcomed us and was so nice and informative. A massive thank you and recognition of these staff for being amazing... Pacifique, Amelia, Reine, 2 girls in the Pool Bar (unfortunately I didnt get their names) and a very sweet Islander gentleman whose name began with C.

Daydream Island resort is a perfect affordable holiday destination for families. The island facilites and activities are great. The rooms are mostly clean and comfortable. There are plenty of food options for a variety of tastes and preferences. The only constructive feedback would be that more attention to cleaning is detail required. Some of the room furniture is obviously well used and in need of updating as is the outdoor furniture on the balcony.

Really great family holiday. Huge pool - lots of families that were all down to earth and the kids all made friends and played island tiggy all day. Can recommend the meditation at the underwater reef that is on site. Rooms were good. If you want to go somewhere to just switch off, relax and eat swim read and hang out by the pool Daydream really is a great option. Nothing else to do but chill. So if you can get used to slow days it’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle. No need to fight for a pool lounge there’s always plenty. Food is expensive at the restaurants - don’t reccommend the risotto but do recommend the meals at Infinity, especially the prawns, noodles and dumplings -but that’s travelling, some are good, some not so. Overall we really enjoyed our week there as a family of 4.

I made numerous attempts to contact NIGHTMARE ISLAND before, during, and after booking to inform them about my severe nut allergy. Despite reassurances through online chat, the buffet breakfast on the first day of our stay was filled with uncovered nuts, causing me to suffer an anaphylactic reaction and requiring the use of my EpiPen twice. The resort's response to this emergency was severely lacking, and their offer of only one additional EpiPen was insufficient given the circumstances. Furthermore, the condition of the room was unacceptable, with evidence of poor cleanliness and maintenance. Despite promises of discounts and complimentary items, we did not receive any of these benefits. Ultimately, due to these issues, we had no choice but to find alternative accommodation. Initially, some staff members offered a full refund, pending the clearance of any additional charges incurred during our stay. This did not occur - we were refunded a partial amount of our stay - which is just not okay considering the circumstances. False advertising!! My fiancé was served a meal covered in ants. What is most definitely is NOT what is available within this resort.It looks like an abanded island - if I could rate them no stars - I would

the resort needs renovation. The staff is very young and has little experience. The two restaurants must be booked otherwise only take away. The menu is very clear, but very expensive. I think if you want to do Whitsundays it's better to invest a little more and go to Haymen Island

The resort was amazing. Loved the open air aquarium and underwater observatory. Staff were lovely and friendly. Only 1 small mistake, we booked 2 x to go fishing which was confirmed by email but when they went to go only one was booked. Bit disappointing as 1 missed out. We paid 2 x booking fee but did only pay for one to fish
