Tired and no extras
No phones and many steps.
Only working elevator is quite a distance from front desk.
I understand how hard it is to modernize old buildings but have staff to help.
No power in my friends room she went to front desk. They gave instructions to move a button on a box by her door.the button was above the door. Standing on a chair she couldn’t reach. We had to get others in our party to try.
The staff were fab. Service at reception and breakfast was just perfect.
The room was a little tired. The shower had to be held as it would not stay on the wall bracket. The bed was small and very hard for my taste.
Wifi is weak and you have to use your data all the time. One of the lifts is out of order and you have to move luggags by stairs. The bathroom is too small and you will feel uncomfartable in that environment. The only good things
s are the location and friendly staff. There is always a long queue at the reception.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Very average.
When you walk in the place looks amazing! What you'd expect from an old station hotel. However when you start heading to the rooms and upstairs it immediately loses that appeal. Very tired... Carpets need renewed and the decor is dull.
Stayed for a couple of nights over the weekend. Very comfortable bed. Lovely well stocked buffet breakfast with the hot food always replaced promptly when empty.
I had booked a double room and on check in was given a twin, this was changed after reporting this to reception staff. Old fashioned definitely needs doing up, tap in bathroom making a banging noise all night, bathroom was horrible enamel chipped in the bath and black mildew all round the bath. No toilet roll holder in bathroom or storage space to put toiletries. Chair in room all torn.
Disorganised staff at breakfast no cups and when asked for cups only brought a few rather than stalking up for all guests. Having to wait for food as ran out.
Close to shops walking distance to train station and bus ststion. Great hotel lovely room spacious and great dinning menu. Will visit again

Aberdeen is expensive to visit and grey. Traffic very difficult with poor condition of roads and esp road markings. Felt like a city of people under pressure.
