I had a nice stay, lovely scenery, breakfast and staff were brilliant. Manager Martin Haven an awful man and should never be working with people let alone in the hotel industry. Real shame. The hotel has a lot of potential with the right management.
Very tired room with dated furniture and a lumpy bed. Windows faced straight onto a busy road which was really noisy and there were only thin curtains. Baby cot was really hard.
None of us slept very well.
Fab hotel. Great views over the river Usk. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty. Room clean and tidy.

The room I booked was not available as it was apparently wrong advertised. So I ended up paying extra £20 for upgrade room what didn’t meet our expectations.
Also service was slow and quite brubt. Definitely would not recommend this place to stop in.
Only compliment and positive feedback goes to chef. Breakfast were tasty.
This is a lovely place to stop over - on a main road from Abergavenny, but the toom had a balcony overlooking the river. There us a restaurant but unfortunately it was fully booked to I can not comment. The host was friendly and welcoming, and ensured that breakfast was served to us first as we had to leave in a timely manner the next morning

The worst experience ever. Filthy hotel. Rude owner, Martin Haven the worst host ever met. A liar and stealer. Martin has sent is away and now refusing to refund us. This is Wales. First time there, surely last as well. Expedia very bad on customer care and device. Expedia and Martin Haven has left a family of 4 and 2 dogs stranded in Wales. Shame of you.

Lovely setting, right by the river. Room had a little balcony that looked right over it, which was great to wake up to. The whole place is apparently being renovated, which there was little sign of, despite their website claiming so. But boy, does it need updating. Tired, dated and sorely in need of TLC in every way. Part of its charm though I guess.

Best Breakfast ever!
The good things about the Hotel is 1) the staff who couldn't be more helpful and welcoming 2) the food, sooo good and good value and 3) having a balcony room over looking the river. You could criticise the rooms but they are clean, and the rooms are suitably priced. id recommend the hotel and would love to come back
