What a gift it was to stay at the Fogcatcher Inn! Truly a magical place, that we cannot wait to come back to :) Tyler at the front desk was beyond helpful checking in. The room had an absolute knock out view of the ocean, and was so cozy. The scenery at Boardwalk trail of moonstone beach was dreamy. The hot tub and pool was PERFECT. Cambria is such a cute little area, and super close to Hearst Castle. We are making Fogcatcher an annual tradition ♥️

I was told I had to go online in order to get the good rate I saw. By doing so, I saved $40. The room cleaning started at 8 am with the cleaning cart rolling down the brick sidewalk VERY LOUDLY. I used to come regularly years ago with my husband, and I thought it would be nice to come back and re-live some of those memories. He recently passed away. I won't do that again. So sad to see how a different owner lets things go.

Comfortable bed. Inn is next to the beach, peaceful and relaxing. It’s quiet and safe area. The bathroom door lock was not working. Otherwise, it’s a great place to spend the night.

The room we got has excellent views, but the windows looked like they had not been cleaned in months... We cleaned the bottom windows so that we could see the ocean clearly while seated. Also, the bed felt like it needed replacement too.

Thru Expedia i booked a room that indicated 2 king bed AND 2 queen sofa bed for my family. When we arrive we were given a room that has 1 king bed and a sofa bed. The staff said that is the only one they have available and if i want a bigger place i need to cancel thru Expedia and transfer to another location where there is a family room. Its very inconvenient trying to reach to expedia and its a long tiring drive and my kids and disabled husband are exhausted. So we stayed. No discounts were offerred to compensate for the wrong booking. Very disappointing to book multiple beds as advertised and got a different room on the property.

Have stayed here several times. In the past there was a complimentary breakfast. Not anymore. Rooms are heated via a fireplace and it is either on or off. There was an electric space heater in the closet but we did not use it. They did not have glasses for water in the room had to ask for some at the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I arrived at 3:30PM and the hostess rudely informed me that check in was at 4:00PM, i came back at 4:15 to find the office filled with everyone else who were checking in, 30 or more people, I came back at 7:15 and checked in. Opening my room door i heard water running, due to the shower being on, the room was flooded, I called the front desk and no answer, I went to the office to find no one, using every towel in the room, I cleaned the water as well as possible, I went to sleep and left early in the morning, not to return, even though i had one more day reserved.
