The hotel room we stayed in was really outdated and uncomfortable. The shower made loud noise every time it was turned on, there was no view, and the bed was extremely small. Even though staff claimed it was “queen size” for the year the hotel was built, that doesn’t match modern standards anymore.
The next morning we also found signs of bed bugs on our bed — thankfully not active, but still present. This was very upsetting to discover after sleeping in that space. What made it even worse was knowing our friends’ room had a confirmed bed bug issue with bugs that were active at the time, and we were never informed by the hotel staff, even though we had been sitting on that bed earlier.
The worst part overall was the condition of the bedsheets — they were dirty, stained, and clearly not properly cleaned. The lack of communication and care around a guest safety concern made us feel ignored and unprotected. No staff reached out to give us a heads-up or check on us, which shows a serious lack of care for guest wellbeing.
We hope the hotel improves hiring and training so people are treated with honesty, proper safety protocols, and better customer service.
