There is no parking in this area, so we had to walk almost 20 minutes wiht our big suitcases across cobblestone and through very crowded areas, but I guess that's normal.

Hotel V was a fantastic experience for us! The staff was extremely friendly and flexible. We asked for an early check-in, and they did everything they could to accommodate our needs. The rooms are decent size and come with everything you need. The street is quiet and close to public transportation. The restaurant has excellent breakfast and dinner options if you don't want to go out. Drinks are nice too in the bar. Highly recommend!!

Good But Not Great
Check in was smooth and efficient. I was offered a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival. Front desk personnel were warm and welcoming. The room was adequate size but I found it too dark. The soundproofing in this hotel is nonexistent. Noises from the adjoining room and hallway were aggravating. The shower drain had obviously been worked on before my arrival and the drain cover was left off the drain. The shower water valve knob was extremely difficult to turn and would have been impossible for some people to operate. The king sized bed was quite comfortable, but in my opinion a 4 star hotel should include a mini fridge in the room. Overall, I would rate the room itself as merely average. I had breakfast at the hotel and the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow despite the fact that very few customers were dining when I was there. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is the location. It is perfectly located just off Dam square with quick access to trams and the metro. I was fortunate to book at a very reasonable rate, but given the usual rate structure I would seek other accommodations if a special was not offered.

Very pleased with our comfort room stay for 4 nights. Was quiet (despite the coinciding Amsterdam Dance Exhibition drawing half a million to the City, bed mattress very comfortable (pillows too thick), great shower and hot water availability (hate the little aluminum tubes with soap shampoo, etc - hard to fully extract, lids fall on the floor), great location for access to city center. Thank you for a very good visit!

This was a nice hotel with excellent staff who were very helpful and polite. Very convenient to the downtown area and public transportation - short walk to the train station. Only a short block off the main road but very quiet. The room was ok, had an overall relaxed charm, industrial pipes for shelving. It was a pleasant expierence overall.

Beautiful hotel. Having a beautiful lobby bar to have a beverage or bite was perfect for the rainy days or after a day strolling Amsterdam. Rooms are cozy, great rainfall shower head. Staff was vey friendly. Great experience.

A great location, friendly staff, clean and quiet. Room was nice sized, bathroom also. Just off Rokin making it very convenient for walks, tram, etc. We had breakfast included - good variety, hearty options along with a very nice fresh fruit bowl! After dinner drinks and sweets at outdoor annex to indoor restaurant. We’ll be back!!
