No air conditioning, way too small for 3 people, bathroom sink was crazy small and it was near to impossible to shower without water going everywhere. Bathroom smelled like mildew. Good location for museums

Room was in horrible shape. Smelled of mildew. The shower was horribly built water didn’t drain and leaked into the room. Light was out. The only positive thing was the location of the hotel.

We had a reservation through Expedia at a different hotel nearby. Unfortunately, that hotel didn’t have our reservation/booking. Expedia found this hotel for us to stay instead. The condition of this hotel was not great at first glance. It is in an older building. The check in area is at the basement level, so you’d have to go “downstairs” to check in. The landing on the entrance is small, so with 4 people’s luggage, there was not enough space to be there. But all in all, it was a good stay. While you’d have to climb the steep stairs to your room with your luggage (it’s Amsterdam, after all), the room is surprisingly big, and it was clean. The bathroom is very small, but clean and adequate. The staff were great! Chiara and Sasha were very helpful and nice. They cleaned up the room and replenished the towels when asked. No AC but the air outside when you open the window was nice and cooled down the room. The location is the best! It’s close to everything and walkable everywhere. We’re right next to Vondelpark, which was awesome. The hotel offers tea and coffee at the “lobby” and other drinks to buy. I didn’t like the door frame inside our room was damaged. But we did feel safe inside. We were only at the hotel at night to sleep, so it served our purposes.
