They were doing heavy construction right above our room and it was so noisy. So noisy that we couldn’t even hear each-other talk. The front desk was very rude and unhelpful until I demanded a refund. She finally stated that she was going to refund to Expedia and then Expedia would refund me.

There was a guest service rep at the desk on Thursday night around 845pm. We tried to use a cc on vending machine. Walked to desk to let her know. Her response "it has never worked". My thought is why is there no sign. Asked for change as says to use exact money. It was like an inconvenience. Why is there no pricing for each item?

Very bad experience at a dirty, run-down hotel. The air unit made terrible noises every time it turned on so we asked to change rooms and of course all rooms were full even though parking lot wasn't full. Beds were hard and lumpy so I basically got no sleep. Stay away!

I stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites, Clemson, SC 9/26-9/29/24 and we had lost power (due to Helene) the first night that we were there. There was no lighting in the hallways, no lighting in the stairways, no hot water and no power whatsoever for the remainder of the three days that I was there. I’ve attempted to contact the manager a number of times and he has yet to respond to my emails for a partial refund. It was an unsafe and dangerous situation. Doors were left open to bring light into otherwise unlit and dark stairwells. Hotel employees were told by management not to give any refunds to customers. Choice Hotels has offered to give me points! All other hotels were booked due to a Clemson game so we couldn’t go anywhere else. The hotel staff were very pleasant and did their best to make a bad situation better. The hotel has done some renovations and it shows. Our room was freshly painted and the carpet was brand new in the hallways. There were no usb charging ports in the room.

Property under construction so property and surrounding area got 3 stars. Front desk staff amazing. Poor review comes from housekeeping staff. Came back to room to find “do not disturb sign that was on door in room on floor”. Room door propped open, along with every room door on floor, occupied or not. Housekeeping cart in site but no staff nearby or in site. We were staying another nite and did not need service. Upon returning, closing room door and rehanging do not disturb sign outside door, housekeeping entered room without knocking. I was coming out of bathroom in towel, daughter grabbed bathroom door closed as she was doing hair in mirror in room to stop me from exposing myself to staff and whomever could have been in hallway. Did put a complaint in with front desk who apologized for staff. Said she would let mgmt know of issues. Will rethink any future stays. Again, I must say front end staff was great. Hotel clean. If not for housekeeping would have gotten 5 stars.

After being displaced by Hurricane Helene, this hotel was a refuge for my family. The breakfast helped my 2 year old diminish and understand the gravity of a tree falling on her room. Simply put, my family is better because this hotel is in business.
