Enjoyable visit. Beds and pillows very, very comfortable. Housekeeping was challenged, likely due to high occupancy but manager fixed when approached. Front desk and Operations Manager were outstanding.
Touring, only there overnight, arrived late and out early. Saw enough to encourage us to return when we have more time.

Challenging to manage our bags given the steps..
Overall nice, but outside care a bit lacking... suggest walking the path... for example, a section by the road flooded and muddy... the path just needs some attention.
We like all for the outside front and backyard. Make sure to make reservations for the restaurant Church Hill’s. Save room for the dessert. Digby was beautiful and don’t forget to check out Bear River. Myrtle & Rosie’s carrot cake. Cool galleries and gift shops. All within a short drive to the St. John New Brunswick ferry…
The shared spaces were nice and clean...the room, it was bad. Mildew, mold, dirty bathtub, water not draining, paint chipping, cracks around the walls and doors. The room felt like a motel, the pool was nice and clean. Would not come back.
Nice hotel, old but charming. Breakfast buffet $25 per person, which seems a bit high for what it is. Pool open 7am-10pm and is heated so open into the early fall.
Very historic feeling, nice pool and sauna. Love the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. Food was overpriced for the quality though. Staff were great!
Love this resort and area. This is our second stay and we will be back! The outdoor heated pool is glorious and grounds beautiful!

Beautiful old resort with lots of character. Could update rooms a little, mainly bathrooms. Grounds and views are lovely.

Disliked: Cleanliness
This hotel may have been great in it's day but that day seems to be over. When we first got to the room, my wife got locked in the bathroom. The knob did not work from the inside. Then we discovered long black hair all over the tile and in the tub as well as on the floor along the base boards. We told the lady at the desk who sent us to her supervisor who told us she would need to tell her manager and that was an end to it. We heard no more about it and didn't push it. We cleaned the bathroom ourselves. They seem to be understaffed and rushed. We ate only once in the restaurant on site. The view however is stunning as are the grounds.
Check in was fine, except that there’s only one entrance to the hotel; and there’s a staircase of about 12 steps to get up to the lobby entrance from the driveway (and there’s no place for arrivals to park and unload suitcases and bags, so you have to park in a No Parking area to unload, and then carry all of your suitcases and bags up the stairs. Then you can put them on a cart to take to your room. They had one bellcap but she was not around when we arrived. We’re in our 70s and didn’t appreciate having to lug our bags up those steps. The closest available parking spot about 100 meters away.
The room was nice but very small; no desk, refrigerator or microwave. We were close to the elevator so could hear it going up and down all the time.
