My girlfriends and I stayed here for the Silver Star Beer & Cider Fest. We were able to get an early check-in and the hotel was just a few steps away from our event. The hotel is a bit dated, but everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was great to have a mini fridge to store a few drinks and snacks. The room was a bit hot as there’s no A/C; there was a fan to help a bit and the receptionist was very apologetic even though the weather is out of her control. The receptionist and staff were extremely kind, and allowed us to use the hot tub past the 9pm closing time. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone attending an event in the village.

Could use some training on how to make a bed. And maybe some sheets that fit properly. I found that nothing seemed to be dusted or wiped down, like the desk you could see the dust along the back half.

Too hot to sleep
As this part of British Columbia is experiencing a heat wave the hotel was uncomfortably hot. We knew it didn't have air conditioning and hoped for the best on the floor level. The room was too hot to sleep despite window open and fan going. Otherwise this is a colorful and charming little place to stay A winter visit would be much better

The rooms are big enough for 3 and a pet for certain. The beds are comfy and the linen was fresh. Being here in a heat wave without air conditioning made the room very warm. I asked for a second fan after hours and it was promptly brought to us . Amazing service .

Easy & clear instructions for room access after front desk hours. Staff were friendly & helpful. The attached Grand Cafe was our favorite Silver Star eatery! The front desk hours were variable & not what was posted on the website. It would be helpful if the hours were posted at the front desk.

the second we walked into the Bulldog, we knew we made a mistake. The lobby was dim and depressing, and the carpets were old and tattered. The room itself was no better: the bed was old and soft and saggy, the couch was tired and dated, and the whole place badly needs an upgrade. The staff who checked us in on Sat Mar 30 was friendly and helpful, but the bored man behind the desk on Sunday did not even deign to look up from his phone, not even once, as guests walked in and out. Honestly, we would rather sleep in a snowbank than stay at the Bulldog again.
