Tranquil Cabin In The Woods

This is the perfect cabin for a family getaway, within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants.

The first floor has a roomy living room with TV, Roku and a wood burning stove. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishware, appliances and gadgets. The dining table is set up to easily accommodate six people, but there is another extension that can be added and plenty of extra chairs. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and an attached bathroom with shower. There is a laundry area with a utility sink and 1/2 bath. If you simply must do a bit of online work during your stay there are two work areas: 1 in the bedroom and 1 off the dining area.

The upstairs has a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a bathroom with a tub/shower and a loft area that has a full-size bed, a twin bed and a toddler bed with plenty of space for sleeping bags. This room is also stocked with puzzles, games and books.

There is a gas barbeque out on the deck.

All towels and linens are provided.

House that has everything

I love this property.This is our 2nd stay at this house and we love it. The kitchen has every gadget and tool for cooking. There is all the snow gear for playing in the snow. They provide wood for the wood burning fire place. We love the house. The beds are comfortable. So good night sleeps are always had.

Christmas Getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin had everything we needed. Our family was able to go for a little hike at Calaveras Big Trees State Park, and have some fun at Spicer Sno-Park.

Great place!

We absolutely loved our stay in Pat's cabin! There were 6 of us (and our dog). 3 adults, 2 teens and a 4 year old. There was more than enough space for all of us. Checking in was a breeze. Pat was very communicative and always replied to my messages in a timely fashion. She accommodated us with an early check in. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We had everything we needed. The location is great! I hope we can go back again soon!

Our stay was amazing! I give this property 5 stars. For one, the owner was very accommodating & flexible given our situation last minute, speedy responses via email. Perfect

Place was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed even boxes of Kleenex. There was a PG&E outage in the area and she was fast to communicate with me the status of restore. During the power outage we were still able to cook because the gas stove and make coffee because she had a pour over coffee strainer and the wood burning fireplace kept it cozy and warm. If you’re looking for a place to get away from the busyness of life this place is perfect. Where the bbq pit is it looks out to a grove of trees that is breathtaking if that’s your kinda thing. We will definitely be back.

Family fun times.

We all loved this place💕. We loved all the countless places to go hiking for us as well our dog. There’s wine tasting in Murphy and kayaking up at Lake Alpine, and a lot of restaurants around town, I need to try when we come back. The Greens.

Very nice place. A little dated. Reminds me of growing up in the 70's though. Fond memories. Our host, Pat, was great. Very informative and accommodating. Location was great. Easy to find. Nice to be in a cul-de-sac. Since the place was pet friendly and we brought our 4-legged kids, it would have been nice to have a fenced backyard. A little creeky, but fun. Thank you !

Relaxing family vacation in the snow

Kids had a great time playing in the snow next to the house while I watched from the window. The property was perfect for our purposes. Nothing fancy but warm and inviting. Little extras like a variety of coffee pods, water bottles in the fridge, snow toys and extra snow gear were greatly appreciated. The house was clean and check in and out very easy. Would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing Snow Play Trip

This is the second time we have been to this cabin in the winter time and absolutely love it! Our children love the large loft upstairs and the parents/adults love the warm family room with the nice burning stove. Everything is labelled very well in the house handbook, including a description of all the kitchen items for use. Checkout was very good too, nothing crazy required in order to leave, just putting the towels and used bedding a certain place and doing your own dishes. The host was also very easy to communicate with and made sure the snow was cleared for parking. Overall a great time!

New Christmas tradition

We decided this year to go away on a family Christmas vacation to the snow. I booked this cabin in a year advance and it was great. My wife and 2 kids (10 & 6) enjoyed cabin. It was perfect. We drove to Bear Valley to snowboard on Christmas Day and it was a beautiful day and not crowded at all. Both kids did snowboarding lessons while my wife and I snowboarded. This was most definitely a great Christmas vacation and will be planning next year for the same. The cabin had everything we needed. The sleds came in handy the day after Christmas for a day of sledding just up hwy 4. The neighborhood was quiet and neighbors are friendly. Great place to stay. Thank you Pat! Aochi’s 2022 24-28 Dec

Cozy cabin in the woods

Three couples fit comfortably in this house with plenty of space for privacy and to gather, especially the spacious kitchen. Well-heated, which was great since it had just snowed. Only two things were not ideal - the living and dining room lighting was dim and not very inviting, and the stairs were very icy and dangerous so we had to shovel them ourselves. Otherwise, great stay!
