Stayed here one night on our leaf peeping trip with our parents. We were pleasantly surprised by this quaint, old-fashioned feeling, “on the old highway” type lodge/hotel. Lovely spacious property, comfy beds, beautiful view, amazing breakfast for a great price, only $18 each for a buffet style breakfast with the best lake view. The ladies at the front desk were very knowledgeable about the town and very friendly. 10/10 would recommend and we’re definitely coming back next year!

This property was just okay but furnishings need to be updated/looking tired. Needed ear plugs to sleep as I could hear person next door (adjoining room) snoring. Room could have been cleaner - random can left on balcony. Location in Baddeck as a gateway to Cabot Trail was great but not really walkable as on a busy road. Breakfast buffet - at an extra charge of $19 a person - was okay, not great. Some fresh fruit would have been nice.

Amazing stay in Baddeck! Everything from the staff to the (optional for purchase) to-go picnic lunches was perfect! Location is great for multi-day Cape Breton trip, though a little bit of a drive each day. Beautiful and well maintained property as well.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a beautiful stay at the Silverdart Lodge. My friend and I were riding our bikes around the Cabot Trail when heavy rain left us stranded for three days. The Silverdart Lodge and their staff went above and beyond—truly amazing, incredibly accommodating, and always so friendly. The lodge provided comfort and care just when we needed it most, and we felt completely looked after. I would highly recommend staying here anytime, whether you’re exploring the Cabot Trail or just looking for a welcoming place to relax.

The room was large and very comfortable - very much like a cute cottage. Picnic tables outside of the chalet was a nice touch. We appreciated having access to coin-operated laundry facilities onsite. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They recommended the Ceilidh Gathering which was definitely a highlight of our trip. We would definitely consider staying here again.
The fall-themed décor outside of the office made it very welcoming.

We had a fabulous salad and sandwich at the Highwheeler Café in Baddeck. Everything is made in-house. Their Cuban sandwich made with fresh focaccia bread was amazing as was the salad with poppyseed dressing.

It was a lovely hotel, they accommodated a room switch which was due to taste rather than having anything to do with the room provided. Restaurant is lovely, as is the view. It's an older hotel but rooms were in good shape, clean and comfortable. Staff extremely friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
