We had a wonderful stay. We fee safe and quiet sorroundings. Not too far to hiking trails.
No elevators though so you have to carry your bags and suitcase if assigned to upper level floors.
It is a lodge nestled in the park, one of the few accommodations available within Sequoia National Park.
I highly recommend staying inside the park; however, the Wuksachi accommodations, separate from the main building, are old and disappointing. Even with a “Deluxe” room, considering the price, one would expect better. The restaurant is definitely better.
Enjoyed our stay. WiFi was glitchy, which didn’t bother us since we are in the middle of a national park. The food at lodge was reasonably priced. We would stay there again
I love that all the hiking trail was so close. I love that it was right in the middle of Sequoia and the location was so beautiful. However, our restroom was not very clean. I was seceptical of taking a shower, because I had seen hairs inside the shower, made me feel they rush cleaning. Also, I had left personal items behind, talk to the front desk to notify them so it wouldn't get stolen, however I never got a call back, he said the housekeeping was taking a break and the room was not clean yet but never got a call back. All three food we got in the Resort was so good we were happy.
The lodge was great. We went the last weekend of the season so they were out of stock in a lot of things but overall it was a great experience. The restaurants were really good had dinner at Peaks, the duck was delicious. Next day was breakfast at the same place and they had a nice spread of options. Only downside is the actual lodging is in a different building and there is no beverage or food options if late at night. Maybe a water refill station and vending machine would be great to have available.
Great location, very clean and minutes away from all the sequoias. I recommend taking flashlights for the night time since there is little to no light when walking from the lobby/restaurant to your room or when walking from your car to your room.
Great location. Close to all the trails and landmarks. Nice short drive to rest after a long day of hiking. Rooms were ok, kind of dated but huge. The hallways we a bit danky with a smell. Restaurant was good and the little convienience stor had most of the basics. you need.
The accommodations were fine, not high end. Beds were comfortable. Only there one night. Getting a lot of luggage to our room was a challenge pushing a loaded cart up the slippery hill to only then have to carry them down a flight of stairs because of no elevator. Not a biggie, but facts. The restaurant was excellent.
