Great place to relax we stayed there weekday very few guests... awesome pool! The resort needs upgrading though. Bring food! Restuarant is too expensive yet food quality sucks!

The resort is really inviting and although I was only able to stay for a limited number of nights instead of the booked8 nights, I am satisfied by the room and the shower facilities, though in between two nights there was hardly cleaning to spec. Breakfast was without variety quite simple.
If I were you, I’d choose another hotel. I had trouble with my reservation and they were not willing to fix it. It ended up costing me money, but them even more.

Not what I'd hoped for
First of all, the staff was very nice, several of the days we were literally the only ones there, but they were ready to assist us without seeming put out at all
I chose this place because it was on the beach, which is to rocky to enjoy, has 2 pools with a swim up bar, swim up bar doesn't look like it's been functional in quite some time, and has a dive shop, again space is there but doesn't look like it has been in operation for quite a while
This could be a nice place, but I would not stay here again
Very relaxing. We spent a lot of time in the two large, clean pools (mostly four feet deep). We were thrilled to find excellent reef snorkeling in the protected marine area at the resort's beach. (Beach has some sand, mostly smooth rocks). We brought some of our own snorkeling gear and borrowed life jackets and also snorkeling gear from Bahura. Their lending snorkels, masks and fins were pretty limited.
The grounds were peaceful and nicely landscaped. Rooms were spacious for a family of four. They gave our two families adjoining rooms with a shared patio area. Nice breakfast buffet included. Restaurant was not a bargain but the food was good.
Big bed in a big room. Nice clean white sheets - useful so you can spot the ants which are every where. They forgot to clean our room one day. Breakfast was ok but limited and either juice or coffee. No latte at a resort?
No wifi in rooms but there are telephones so why no wifi?
Staff were either friendly or downright rude - too busy checking their phone to say good morning.
Pools are big but not very deep (2ft/4ft) and not very clean either.
Resort is quite far from town and didn't stock essentials. Everything had 10% service charge added whether you liked it or not. If you don't arrive with what you need then you'll need to factor in a trip to dumaguete. They charge 1000 for one way or pick up a tricycle outside for 300 or ceres liner at 50 peso each.
Probably ok if you're a diver
They switched breakfast from (indifferent) table service to buffet style inexplicably part way through our stay. Choosing to locate the food and service area in the smoking part of the restaurant - ugh.
Staff just didn't seem to care.
I have returned to Bahura resort about 4 times now. I just love the place. The pool area and grounds are beautiful. I like the rooms and the restaurant serves great, affordable food.
Highly recommended.
The place was nice, and the staff friendly. There was no WIFI availability in the rooms however. The phones in our villa was out of order, and if we needed something we would have to walk to the main desk to get it done.

Spacious Hotel with Beach Front
Bahura is located in Dauin, about 30 minutes from Dumaguete City. The pool is big and clean and there's a marine sanctuary near beach front where you can snorkel and see colorful fishes. The breakfast included in the hotel deal was good and on Sundays they have buffet breakfast. Because of its wide space surrounded with trees and flowering plants, it is nice to just sit by and see birds fly by.
They clean the rooms very well and staff is generally helpful and courteous.

Good
I liked the way the staff provided me service. They were very nice and polite. One thing that I didn't like was the beach front; it was rocky. I had to watch my steps on my way across the beach. The rocky area was mostly in the part that faces the lounge hut outside. Overall, it was good. The pool was very nice.
The hotel was nice, the room spacious and well maintained, the service friendly and reasonably priced. We liked the huge pool but we dearly missed a beach. The waterfront, as we called it, is not just rocky, it can not be used. So be prepared for pool only.
We learned to better research text and pictures in the future.
Great little Oasis and wonderful place to stay. Their Villas are detached 2 story houses. Beautiful and large bath room. Nice snorkeling in the warm inviting water 50 yards from the room. I love this place. It just needs a little oil in the door lock.
they only clean the room once. the hot water was shut off in the bathroom sink. then I was told that I had to send a copy from of the say from Expida not know why. then at dinner went to pay they didn't have change so had to put on my credit card. No Wi-Fi in room just at the restaurant. old TV not flat screen beach was full of rocks. was 1,000 peso to go to the citiy

Nice but
Went to dinner they did not have change so had to put on my card. They only clean the room on one day rest of our stay they did not clean the room. There was a charge for everything wanted to go to the city that was 1,000 peso. Would not go back to this hotel. We ask if family could viist and use the pool and the beach they said yes for 500.00 peso each please we were the only ones at this resort.
The rooms are huge, with big beds and a long window seat. Shampoo, soap and toothbrushes supplied, as well as bottles of water each day. The restaurant has a lot of choice on the menu as well as a set lunch and dinner option that changes each day if you prefer. Bahura is quiet and peaceful with helpful staff. Wifi works best in the dining area and is not available in rooms. People come to the island mainly to dive - the beach is lovely but is not great for swimming. However the pool is fantastic. A local bus to Robinson's mall in Dumaguete is only 20 pesos and can be caught from the main road at the entrance to the resort. At the mall you can change to a tricycle to Rizal Boulevard on the waterfront where there a lots of bars and restaurants. Tricycles can also take you a bit further to the ferry port if you need to buy ferry tickets to Bohol or Cebu. At the resort, try the pineapple shake by the pool. Room service is also available. Breakfast is a buffet and quite good. A great place for a couple of relaxing days. Pickup from the airport is recommended as there is no real alternative except jeepney or tricycle and bus.
