Our 2nd stay at this hotel. Not as crowded this time compared to early Jan. Very good value. Love the location as my husband enjoys drinking and playing pool at the pubs surrounding the hotel area. Massage also easily available till late night.

Check-in was extremely slow. Iron and ironing board not provided in the room even when asked. A common iron and ironing board is made available but only on selected floors. This is extremely inconvenient for business travelers like me who has multiple clothes to press. I have put up with these several times in the past with this hotel but i can't continue staying in this hotel anymore with such facilities and service.

This would have been a fabulous hotel when it first opened five to six decades ago. There was a stench coming from the wardrobe in my room when I checked in so I don't think they have very high hygiene standards. If I was travelling with my family to Bangkok, I would pick somewhere else and avoid the Sukhumvit area altogether.

Checking at 2pm took about 1 hour. The line up was huge. The Indian travellers would put 1 person to wait in line, then when that person reach the front of the line they would pull out multiple passports and the group would then jum in front of you. My Thai partner got asked for her ID like she was a bargirl when re entering the hotel after we had been out. Hotel is reasonably priced and in a good location. Many western restaurants in the area
