We went to Beijing for a wedding being held in a 5* hotel in the Financial District (unfortunately out of our budget to stay in), so we chose this one for it's proximity to that, and because of the good price for what seemed to be a nice hotel.
We were a bit nervous as there weren't too many reviews for this property and it seemed too good to be true...but i'm happy to report that i absolutely loved the hotel.
Seems new and well decorated, super clean and modern, the room was large with a big double bed, strong shower and plenty of space - even a sofa. Young staff, free in room wifi.
Improvements: English level of the staff. This isn't a big deal for me as i speak a bit of Chinese but at check in, they had to find the one guy who had some English skills, but even then they thought my passport was out of date (they were pointing at the issue date), also my visa was too old (flip the pages to see the current one), and even with the Hotels.com booking print, they gave us 1 key and said 'enjoy your stay'...to which we then pointed out we had booked two rooms.
But none of that was done with any malice, or rudeness. They were very polite and friendly. An oddity was though - they didn't take a credit card for deposit, nor did they for our third friend who check in the next day and had booked via another site. I mean no worries for me but it's normal practise to protect themselves!
Tip: To pick up a cab or Didi/Uber, walk the 20m to the left of the hotel to the main road!
