I want to preface this by saying that I was a housekeeper for over 5 years, and I don't like leaving these kinds of reviews. I know how harsh people can be when staff are doing their best to have rooms cleaned before check-in time.
I booked my room for cheap last minute. I was expecting the, "You get what you paid for." The curtains had weird stains, one of the lights didn't work, we had a dirty blanket rolled up in the closet, and our top blanket had to be replaced because it had a huge stain on it. Not that this one was a big deal, but the pillows also appeared to have been just tossed at the top of the bed.
However, I was not expecting black mold. My husband and I needed to crash after a late night concert, so we didn't notice it in the bathroom until the morning. My husband woke up congested, and my eyes and throat were scratchy. I can't comprehend why anyone would overlook that. I'm very disappointed.
The front desk staff was really kind, and we really appreciated that they let us check in after midnight. But, we will not stay here again. If you stay, check in early and do a thorough look before it's too late.
