I got a call in the morning of our booking date that there is no hot water. I talked to the person at the reception and he told us they knew since Wednesday. I thought they should have told customers earlier. They offered 30 % discount but too late to find another hotel. We only stayed for 1 night and had to leave early for a hike. The breakfast wasn’t ready at 6 even though they have a sign that breakfast is from 6 to 10am. We went to Denny’s instead that is conveniently located next to the hotel. Besides those 2, the room was big and comfortable and the only staff I talked at the reception was nice.

The room was some what dated and the repairs or updates were poorly done. When asked for extra blankets we were told they dont provide extra blankets. For the price paid you would expect a higher quality facility and service.

I liked the staff, Steven was very very helpful. Breakfast was really good. Building looked like it was freshly painted. Over a 30 year period this was by no means my first time staying here. I will stay here again. About 5 or more years ago I had had some bad experiences at Vagabond but it seems things have improved nicely. I brought a friend up here to fish and it was a nice experience for him. We especially l8ked the fish cleaning accommodations.
