EXTREMELY CLEAN AND SANITIZED !!

“Moonlight Mountain Hideaway” is a dog friendly, fully equipped, w/d, hot tub, TVs, comfy log cabin, with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, one luxury king master on main, a king and a queen bedroom on upper level to accommodate a family of six easily. Walk-in showers!! FIRE TV. Free WiFi ! Gas logs! Fire pit in season. And did we mention gorgeous view of Rich Mountain Wilderness from Ellijay to Blue Ridge!!

Also, we just completed a new lower deck with great amenities! Propane fire pit group, bar, darts, pool table, foosball and 55 inch HD streaming tv!! Movies and football!!

When you book Moonlight, located within the highly sought after Lake Buckhorn Community, you are booking with Buckhorn Cabin Rentals.

At BCR you are a real person, not an "unknown" or only a credit card number punching a key pad. You are our guest. You will be served exactly the same way we would like to be served!!

Hospitality and service form our cornerstone. Personal contact, personal touches and being immaculately clean are what our guests expect and remember. This is what brings our guests back again and again!!

After booking you will be contacted personally by Jim Ferguson, the property manager. You will get all the info needed to locate and access your cabin.

As Jim and his wife, Carolyn live in the Lake Buckhorn Community, within 3 minutes of your cabin you are dealing with a member of the community, not someone miles or hours away, or in another state with 9 to 5 availability hours. Jim is available 24/7 in case of an emergency, or just to ask a guest. It is like having your own personal assistant or concierge!

None of these one hour quick cleaning services with BCR. Your cabin will be immaculately clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. If arriving late Jim will have lights on for you and temperature is set at 73 degrees.

And yes, you will have a 180 degree view of Rich Mountain Wilderness, all the way from Blue Ridge to Ellijay ! Also, hot tub (with full moon, optional!!) and video game area (for the kids, or adults who think they are kids! Lol!!) Playstation2, with game table and foozball. We have now completed the large lower deck featuring pool table, propane fire pit group, darts, 50+ inch tv and bar!! Firestick on TV.

Creek and lake on back property line, plus short hike to Lake Buckhorn across the street and the common area.

Paved roads, easy access, no 4x4 needed. 15 minutes to either Ellijay or Blue Ridge

BTW: Bella or Champ can enjoy it, too! MMH is dog friendly!! (with minor limits) Small pet fee required. Limit two dogs up to 60 lbs. each!!

The whole family will never want to leave the view from the back covered porch. Rocking chairs and checker board table bring back thoughts of simpler times. Kick back and relax with your favorite beverage or your morning cup of coffee, grill a steak or enjoy breakfast with the family around the dining/game table on the porch !!

Brand new living room furnishings make relaxing easy. Sit back to watch a movie, or maybe even take a nap by the fireplace. No snoring allowed!! Lol!!

And speaking of fireplace, how about cuddling up with a glass of wine, book in hand, and enjoying the warmth, of (seasonal) gas logs without having to go outside for wood!

Bring the clubs with you as Whitepath Golf Course is only minutes away! "FOUR!"

If you want the feel of a real fire, there is also a fire pit just outside. So gather around with marsh mellows or hot dogs for quality time with the family (October through March), the kids will love it !! A time to be close with family, or just share with your "sweetie"!

Great & Memorable Thanksgiving Weekend
Without question, this has been our best VRBO experience in years. From the moment we arrived, we were taken with the views and quality of the cabin. We could not have asked for anything more. Cabin is amazing, clean, and spacious. We loved the gas fireplace while enjoying our morning coffee. The entire family loved the cabin and the location is also very good. Our dogs loved the peace and tranquility. We had a spectacular Thanksgiving. Jim is a very gracious manager. We will be back!

We had an awesome time. We loved the hot tub, pool table, propane fire pit. We spent most of our time on the porch in the rocking chairs and on the deck downstairs around the fire pit. The cabin is accurately described! We will be back for sure!

Gorgeous Home with Amazing Mountain Views
This home was so well equipped and comfortable with amazing views. Owner was easily accessible to answer questions. Very clean and GREAT location, easy access to Blue Ridge and Ellijay! We had a great family mountain getaway and hope to be back soon.

We left New Orleans on a Saturday morning. 8 hours later we arrived in heaven. Trying to fully & accurately describe MMH proves to be as difficult as leaving it when that time arrived 7 days later. Everything about the cabin itself, the view, the town & people of Ellijay & surrounding area grabs hold of you soon as you arrive & will hold on to us forever. Memories made, memories cherished. The mountain top where MMH sits reminds one of God's magnificence. We could go on endlessly and never provide you a full & accurate description, it's a place one has to experience personally. Leaving with a personal, new & profound outlook on life. The only thing better than the place itself is the attentiveness of your host's Jim & Carolyn who graciously opened their door and gave us a " view " into what life is all about, the really important things. Bryan , Janet & fur baby Tucker say thank you ever so much for providing that opportunity.

Underwhelmed by property
Although the host was incredibly responsive, the property itself was a bit disappointing. Upstairs shower leaked onto lower bathroom and kitchen - although they tried to repair it during our stay we discovered this was a known & ongoing issue. After trying to fix the problem unsuccessfully, We were told to not use the shower. The outdoor equipment was a highlight for us in choosing the property - but we found a ruined & unusable foosball table, no darts for the dart board, and pool sticks with mostly broken tips. We made the most of our trip & still had a good stay, but will not choose to return in the future. Again, we can’t say enough wonderful things about the property managers, but the property itself was not what we thought we were getting.

Beautiful views, cabin, and great property management
The cabin was spotless, well organized, beautiful and had everything we needed for our 8 night stay. We enjoyed time on both decks and appreciated the gas fireplaces as the temps were very cold this time of the year. If you're looking for a place to relax, refresh and restore with a beautiful view...this is it! The cabin was amazing, private and easy to get to. Property manager was very friendly and responsive. We enjoyed meeting him. Our stay here was just what we needed.

Breathtaking morning views!
We’ve stayed in a lot of GA, SC, NC and TN mountain cabins over the years, but this cabin’s views — especially of the morning sunrises — were THE best. Simply spectacular. Host Jim’s communication & responsiveness was as-advertised: helpful and almost immediate. Lots for three generations of us to do at the cabin and the downstairs deck’s gaming area was really unique and enjoyable. LR furniture wasn’t very comfortable but that was the only knock on an otherwise-perfect cabin and experience.

The view!!!
Overall, the cabin was in a great location! We are a family of 6, so everyone having their own space was nice! The view was absolutely amazing and I spent most early mornings and late evenings on the back deck reading. If I had to offer suggestions, I would put a tv in each room… one of the upstairs rooms didn’t have one. Also, my husband tried to watch tv in the living room, but the remote was changing channels on that tv and the one in the loft.

Amazing views/Amazing weekend!
House was super clean, comfortable and the view did not disappoint! Even though it was pretty cold (snow flurries in April), the sun coming into the screened in porch made it a perfect place to enjoy our morning coffee. Unfortunately we did not use the awesome lower deck (other than one late afternoon) because it was pretty cold, we hope to return soon to take advantage of this great extended area. Excellent Stay with beautiful views
We stayed for 3 nights at the Moonlight Mountain Hideout cabin with family. The cabin was in excellent conditions, the listing was accurate but we found the cabin even better than expected. It was beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. We enjoyed our stay very much. Jim was great, quick responding to texting and coming with a full gas tank within 20 minutes of texting him on a Sunday when the gas pit ran out of gas. We highly recommend this cabin.

Weekend Getaway
Our experience was amazing. The cabin was beautiful. We received snow while we were there and the owner was very helpful. He was one text away the entire time and even communicated when the road conditions were safe for traveling. I’d definitely love to book this property again in the future.
