This cabin would be better if it was not such a hassle to book. First, read the fine print before signing up. Most of what we paid for our two-night stay was a "cleaning fee" which is a ridiculous price since we left the cabin in spotless condition. Charging that much to change the sheets on one bed is crazy.
The cabin itself was ok, but the road to get to the cabin was insane. Even in my SUV, it took multiple times to get up the steep gravel road that was partially washed away. The "rental contract" that the rental company sent said that it is suggested that you have a 4x4 vehicle. It is not like I could have made a change once I got the agreement and saw that since this is a non-refundable rental.
Also, read the fine print in the "rental agreement" that gets emailed to you. There is a ton in it that does not apply to this rental cabin but is a legal binding document. I was told that it is just a standard form for all of the cabins they manage, but be careful about signing a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with you. I have never booked anything through hotels.com that was such a hassle and I have booked other cabins. When you just want a simple, quick getaway, this is not the place for you.
This is not a secluded cabin in the mountains. It is a cabin at the top of a hill; surrounded by houses. The fireplace inside the cabin did not work, even after following the instructions in the welcome book at the cabin.
