You get what you pay for
Old dilapidated rooms. Broken light fixtures. Old uncomfortable beds, stained carpets. Also ran out of clean lines and couldn’t get an additional blanket. Staff was nice but that’s about it..

I was surprise to see the conditions of the room because everything in the outside looked fined and the lady the checked us in was very nice even though she was busy! This is my second stay in a Extended stay but it was totally different than the first. The room was dirty, the furniture was old and damaged the beds were super unconformable with only 2 very slim pillows!! The carpet is damaged, some lamps dont work, the tub has mold and is clogged. The only reason I did not complaint was because I was exhausted from my trip and I needed to sleep so we managed the night. But they definitely need to do better for the amount they charge.

The first room I was assigned reeked of smoke, the wallpaper was dark from the smoke, you could see bubbles on it and it was peeling away in some areas. You can also see a lighter area on the wall where a painting was hung. The hair dryer in the bathroom was hung on the wall by a screw. I was asked multiple times during check-in if I smoked and I told the receptionist every time that I did not, she mentioned that the hotel is non-smoking. The room is in a deplorable condition, and no one should pay their money to sleep in such conditions. I requested a room change and was assigned a room in another hotel section. I even took a different elevator to get to the room. Just stepping off the elevator I could smell the cleanliness of the floor. The new room assignment was 10 times better than the previous room, I could breathe! I must add the receptionist was quick to assist me with the room change however a colleague (who seemed like a manager) at the front desk had a nasty attitude.

Don’t waste your time
When we arrived, the room we were assigned was on the second floor. Coming off the elevator, the strong smell of urine/feces was overwhelming. The carpets were stained & there was animal feces in the corners. We got into the room & it smelled worse than the hall. I literally could not breathe because it was so strong. We requested a different room & they told us there were none available. A few minutes later they said there was one room on the first floor that had “just been deep cleaned.” It smelled a little better than room 1, but was still very dirty, including poop on the toilet. At 10pm, we went to Walmart to buy a fan, air freshener and neutralizers. The walls are so thin you could hear the family beside us having a normal conversation and the dog barking. The beds have a flat sheet and a thin blanket. The rooms had 2 towels & 1 washcloth. When we requested more, the desk staff said they didn’t have any because they were in the laundry. We waited 45 minutes & asked again, they said to find a housekeeper….who also didn’t have any. When walking past the desk, the staff was complaining about “the annoying guy who keeps asking for towels.” So my family, 4 people, all took showers with 1 washcloth and 2 towels. We didn’t even stay the second night because it was so bad. I turned in the keys and left. It was AWFUL. We were clearly an inconvenience to them. The only good thing, was there weren’t bed bugs. It is run down, overpriced and the staff is beyond rude. 0/10 stars

The first room I was assigned smelled like wet dog and the carpet was torn in several locations. I spoke to the receptionist and found out it was a pet approved room. I requested to be moved, and the receptionist was helpful with finding a different non-pet room.

So so…..
It was mediocre, room smelled of dog urine, got room switched because 1st room smelled badly, new room wasn’t better, sofa bed was broken and front desk brought in a cot, 2 adult daughters needed to improvise but made it work, breakfast was limited and lacking, coffee was sour, front desk was very friendly and helpful and I can’t fault them for the conditions but the hotel needs some serious updating and because it’s pet friendly, needs luxury vinyl flooring not carpet which smells of dog urine. Location was great, price was good, bed was comfortable but wouldn’t stay here again due to condition and smell unfortunately.

Upon check out, we never got a single thank you or hope you enjoyed your stay. Front desk personnel were not friendly or concerned about hearing problems we experienced with our room. There was a nasty stain on carpet in hall at our door, the carpet in our room had come unglued/stretched and was a terrible trip hazard, bathroom sink had no stoper to prevent items going straight down the pipe. We had actually spoken to a service manager who seemed to be briefing a new employee in our hallway. He assured us he would have the hall carpet cleaned and address other problems. We arrived Oct 1 and checked out Oct 4 and no maintenance was performed. When we checked out and again mentioned the problems the desk clerk's attitude was like she didn't want to be bothered and a bit condescending. No thanks or sorry or anything that would tempt us to return again. We have recently stayed several times at your hotel while visiting family in Islip and have never felt this unwelcome. We will rethink another booking elsewhere if this has become the type of service to be expected. Upon our arrival, we should have just asked to be moved to another room. At the very least we should have been offered some sort of compensation for such a bad experience. We have an ill family member in Islip who we have plans to frequently visit. It is a 10-hour drive for us and a helpful friendly smile at your front desk would go a long way toward continued loyalty to your business.
