While a bit older, this property is very well maintained! Staff was wonderful, from front desk, to store to restaurant (try the Oreo Shake!). The location was convenient and our kids loved the Western town feel.

Good place for a short get-away
Probably one of the better hotel/motel places to stay in Borrego Springs. Palm Canyon Hotel and RV Resort is centrally located on the main drag, and there's not much to do in town, but the little restaurants are good (the Big Horn restaurant there at Palm Canyon Hotel is pretty good -- good salads, chicken and burgers), and the resort is a good place to soak away the big city in the pool and spa.

I like the property overall, the room was spaces and clean. Every details in the room was cleaned. My only wish is for the property offer a few charging station for EV vehicle. Espcially such a big property in the area. Still love it.

My husband and I have stayed at this property before in the past without any issues. Unfortunately this time around I didn't get the room specified in the booking (requested a King and was given two queen beds) I was told this was due to bringing a pet and no king beds on the first floor even though I was not told this over the phone. The previous two visits we stayed in a king bed room on the first floor with our pet. This visit we noted other rooms on the first floor with king size beds... The air conditioner was obnoxiously loud our first night there, it was making strange sounds as if water was sloshing around. Once requested,maintenance came the next day. The problem didn't get fixed unfortunately, the A.C. unit was afterwards blasting out ice chips and still made very loud noises for quite some time after shutting off. The place is overdue for upgrades but that's prob what keeps the pricing cheaper than other locations. Our main issue was being given a different room than what was specified. The A.C. issue was annoying but I'm happy with the immediate response from staff after informed of the issue even though it ultimately didn't fix it.

Love the staff, the location and the spaciousness of the room, but....the bedrooms and bathrooms really need to be updated. And the pool area could use a big makeover!

Marilyn and maintenance staff were responsive and accommodating when we checked into the jupe tent and the generator was beeping. They reset the generator which stopped the beeping, but offered a free upgrade into a hotel room as they wanted to ensure we weren’t going to have any problems. The room, restaurant and heated pool and spa were amazing! We also loved how close the resort is to the hiking trails and they offered us chocolate chip cookies at check in!

When the lights and heat went away
Due to extremely high winds the power went out all over Borrego Springs our second night staying in the Jupe (a tent structure). It was no fault of the hotel and we were informed this could happen. It did add an element of excitement due to pitch black and lots of coyotes nearby! Glad we brought a small lantern with us.
