Avoid this hotel, no external windows

This is the strangest property - it should be clearly advertised everywhere that the vast majority of the rooms at this property have only internal windows looking out onto the hallway and two other rows of rooms' windows. I felt like I was living in a cave. Hotels.com says "no view" which meant at other hotels there isn't much of a view (e.g. parking lot), not literally NO view to the outside world. Housekeeping is by request only so I requested it and then reminded them when I left in the morning, came back to see it hadn't been serviced at all. I told the front desk and they said their system showed it was cleaned. I told them the trash wasn't even taken out so they said they could take out the trash and give me fresh towels. Those never arrived so I had to request again a few hours later. What I got was two large towels (no bath mat, no wash cloth or hand towel) and two bed sheets. (?) The toilet only flushed if you did it twice. Chromecast worked 50% of the time. My tv defaulted to a 6am wake up call (waking me up the first morning which was very disorienting) unless I manually changed it the other mornings (it says it doesn't do that, it did). This hotel unlike most others charges you for an early check-in or late check-out. I talked to the front desk the night before I checked out and explained the difficulties I'd been having and wondering if I could get a 2 hour free late check-out to make up for it. They said they could only give me 1 hour free.

We (family of 3) really enjoyed our stay at the Arcadian, we were not expecting anything fancy but it was everything we needed. The room was a good size, although some elements could do with an update. The complimentary breakfast was good, but advise getting there early. The location is excellent, right at a tram stop and walking distance in various directions for shops, restaurants and parks. We would definitely go back, great value for money.

not honest hotel

The hotel was calm and clean; however, I had an unusual experience during my last night. As I was entering the hotel, I found that my room key was not working. Upon visiting the front desk, I was informed that I needed to vacate my room immediately and move to another room within less than two hours due to maintenance purposes. This was quite unexpected and unclear. The new room I was moved to was smaller, with two small beds and a small bathroom, even though my booking was specifically for a king-bed room.
