Desk clerk was on the phone when I arrived and did not acknowledge me (I was the only guest present) for some time...rude. While he was checking for my reservation (which took a long time) he did not tell me he'd found it. He needs some more training in my opinion. The a/c in my room created a more humid environment than the outside! When I arrived, the tv in my room did not work. I later moved the HDMI cable to the correct plug and it came right on. The breakfast was as expected and the breakfast attendant was polite and professional. I had occasion to pass the cleaning staff in the hallway and both employees that I saw were pleasant and offered a greeting. Their appearance was professional. There were at least 10 ceiling tiles missing above the elevator...ripped out of place vs. just being removed. Carpet is coming up around the edges in place. I don't plan to return to this, or any other Comfort Inn if I can help it. I paid a premium price for this much less than premium experience.

Better customer service needed by General Manager
We booked a two night stay for the live racing events at Kentucky downs. The location, being only 6 miles away, was great. When we arrived, there was a No Vacancy sign for the hotel. Our room had a very strong smell of mold/mildew. We did not ask for another room due to the No Vacancy sign. The next morning, we asked for a room clean. When we got back in the evening, our room door was ajar; items were gone through and missing. We let the front desk know and the general manager stated he would refund $50 to the room for the inconvenience. In the morning, the billing summary showed an adjustment of $30. When I questioned the lesser amount, the general manager (my husband thought his name was George) stated he did $30 and said that was all he was going to do with no explanation. In addition, he said he would come to the room and pick up the box of trash that housekeeping left; he did not do that either. Please do not say you are going to do something and then not do it. That is one of the worst customer service things you can do.

DO NOT STAY HERE! VERY RUNDOWN BUSINESS. SO MANY THINGS NEED TO BE FIXED AND UPDATED. VERY DIRTY. SMELLED LIKE MILDEW IN 3 ROOMS THAT WE'VE SEEN. CARPET IS DISGUSTING. VERY LIMITED BREAKFAST. NOT SANITARY AT ALL.

The smell was horrendous, I bought candles and febreeze just to tolerate it. The carpet needed replaced it was filthy. Outside in the parking lot there was quite a bit of garbage and just general lack of care. The landscape was completely overgrown. I realize the outside has nothing to do with the rooms but it shows overall lack of management

Nice place comfortable bed . But exhaust fan in bathroom didnt work. Door to the room did not want to close. Housekeeping did a lousy job of cleaning thw room they didnt even empty the trash. Other than that it was a nice hotel

Third floor smelled stuffy when getting off the elevator. Our room also smelled stuffy and humid. Air conditioner made strange noises. A metal insulated cup that i filled with ice water the night before was sweating in the morning! That cup NEVER sweats!!!

Everything here was aesthetically pleasing. For myself, the only two things that bothered me the most was the fact that the room smelled bad, like it was damp and mildewy. It made sleeping difficult. The beds, the pillows, all that was lovely. I didn’t use the shower facilities, but they were clean. I know a lot of the hotels with the breakfast, whenever they serve the eggs and meat and potatoes, the eggs always look horrible so this was no exception. Was not an appetizing looking scrambled egg. It looked like it had been baked and chopped up and the sausages did not look appetizing either. They were gray, for lack of a better description. I understand they are heat and eat, but I prefer a little brown to them so they look like they’ve been cooked. Otherwise, all the other selections were fine.

Great stay
Upon arrival, the interior smelled very clean. Front desk staff Was friendly. I requested a last-minute accommodation and was met with understanding And a solution. The property was well kept. There were plenty of breakfast options in the morning.

We loved our stay. The breakfast was good each day and it was comfortable and quiet. The only thing we didn't like was the room was handicap accessible and we're not handicapped. We probably could've requested another room but we were too tired and just wanted to get some sleep.

I’m not sure who was giving it such great reviews. I had to move from my first room because the door lock was ripped off of the door. My second room was OK. People were complaining of a variety of things. One person’s air conditioner fell off the wall. Another claimed the room smelled like somebody was eating, rotten fish in it, I am pretty sure a bunch of homeless people were living in the gazebo or around it. I would never stay here again
