Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I'm shocked anyone would rate this place with 5 stars. It's an EconoLodge - you should know up front that it isn't going to be that good. I only chose if because I was traveling with my mother who is very cheap. The price was decent but ...
The area was kinda rough. The parking lot lights were all flashing likes strobe lights. Interestingly, the motel front desk clerk blamed the city for the lights flashing even though the lights were clearly part of this property and not on public property, and no other lights in the area on the street or at other businesses were strobing. The lobby was almost non-existent; it looked like the type of motel that offers hourly rates. The desk clerk was nice though. All rooms are outside entry. Ours appeared decent but our non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The other room we were offered smelled extremely musty so we stuck with the smoky room. I had to kill 8 house flies before we could settle in. In general the room was just rough ... again, it was an EconoLodge so ...
Breakfast offered no redemption. The obligatory waffle maker was the only "fresh" food offered. 2 no-name cereals were offered, not much else.
There really was nothing about this stay that I appreciated.
