MTN House by Basecamp exceeded my expectations. Its location made it incredibly convenient to explore Banff. Also downtown Canmore was just a short distance away. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, adding to the overall experience.

How far to get Egg McMuffin?
Room was nice. Didn’t deal with staff as our room didn’t need anything for 3 nights. The lack of a morning breakfast was a “pain” though. What was offered as a “on the go” to buy was not desirable. Had to drive to town for breakfast.

Nice property with clean & stylish rooms. Convenient to downtown and area attractions. Disappointed that there was no breakfast option. Even though they had a restaurant, it was only open from 3 to 9 PM for Happy Hour and Dinner.

Nice but not luxury
Liked the pre-arrival checkin. Nice lobby. Room was spacious, comfortable bed. No robes or slippers which was unfortunate since the newly renovated bathroom had a freezing floor. The paint job in the bathroom was sloppy around some of the edges which cheapened the appearance of the build. The restaurant downstairs had a broken coffee machine and was unable to provide espresso during our stay. Overall did not meet our expectations for the luxury price paid.
