Our Georgetown Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Georgetown. Staff offer outstanding service, room was lovely and very clean. Location is excellent.
Very unique and appealing little hotel. The staff was fantastic. Emma really stood out. I loved the pub, but unfortunately it didn’t grab my wife so we never had dinner there. Would definitely stay there again.
Room was quaint, not as rustic feeling as the rest of the hotel. Electric fireplace did not work, handles on the shower need maintenance (continue spinning even past the stoping points), toilet paper roll wasn't replenished before we got the room, but overall these are smaller nit-picks for just a very standard feeling hotel room stay.
Like: house is nice and the layout is very functional
Dislike: only one thing - the bath/shower tub wall should be install with some holding bars for the safety of seniors (to prevent them from falling)
This place is charming and really does have the feel of places we have stayed and pubs we have visited in Ireland and England. Such a fun surprise right in Canmore! Walk to the bagel shop or any number of restaurant options but the pub right at the inn was amazing! We were there on pot pie night and it was homemade and delicious! The local beers were a great addition to the meal. The room was clean and comfy and so unique!
Good place for a short stay. Room was quite small but comfortable. Cleaning could have been better. Found a long hair in the shower!
The pub downstairs serves good food at very reasonable prices.
Great ambience, comfortable beds. Dining and staff were excellent. Ongoing construction on roadway outside limited walking and driving in and out of the property. Noisy with early starts.
Stayed 3 nights whilst visiting the Rockies and it was a great base from which to explore the fabulous area.
The rooms were comfortable and reasonable value in comparison to others I looked at during the booking process.
My request to have a room with a walk in shower was dealt with promptly in the booking process and was perfect for the needs of my elderly mother.
We ate once at the hotel in the evening and it was a delicious meal with friendly staff.
The road directly outside the front of our hotel and our room was in the process of being upgraded and the noise from @7:15am was significant however this was clearly beyond the hotels control but did impact us to a small degree. Additionally the roadworks created heavy congestion around the area with roads shut randomly and detours in place.
Parking at the hotel is limited and there are signs indicating it was for the pubs/hotel use, there were times it was a struggle to get parked but as the dining guests departed spaces became available.
We would recommend the hotel to stay/eat however probably best to check with them in advance if the roadworks were completed if noise and congestion bother you.
Great place and excellent dining at the Miner's Pub on site. Lot of construction closed the road to the inn. Parking at dinner time for the Pub is tricky since outsiders apparently use the hotel parking spaces.
