Ok lets start off with the fun little water park they have i knew they had a pool but i didnt know they also had a little pirate ship with water slides and the 2 large water slide made our trip so much funner especially for the kids! The rooms are very big a spacious and super clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful even gave us a good place to go get dinner! If we didnt live so far away i would definitely go back for another visit!
This property has the best access to Carlsbad caverns.

Good for sleep only.
The property is dated, but the bed was comfortable. Lights outside in the exterior halls and stairwell were either poorly lit or not working at all. As we entered our room, it initially looked clean. As we inspected further, a stink bug came crawling out from under the fridge. I collected it and put it outside. The ice bucket was dirty and the toilet bowl was stained or perhaps not fully cleaned. We did not shower during this one night stay. The free breakfast consisted of pre-wrapped muffins and individual per-packaged cereal bowls.
Coffee was present and had sugar packs and dry dairy creamer. Two gallons of milk and orange juice was in the fridge for community use. The property was quiet at night. We could not watch Tv as the cable connector was broken.
The pool looked clean, though we did not use it during our short stay. There were water slide features that did not seem to be in working condition, unless they only run during certain times of the year.
Pleasantly surprised by Whites city, rooms were big and very clean. The pools and the slides were awesome actually and very clean, more than we expected. The continental breakfast was very basic.
Very spacious and clean rooms. Microwave and Fridge included in the unit. Clean bathroom with a good shower with temperature control. Breakfast is very simple so don’t expect much. Would stay there again.

The deadbolt on our door didn’t work. The pool was amazing, however, it did have a funny taste to it. Our friends also stayed and the glass was broken out of their door. Their bathroom door would also not latch and lock shut.
All that being said it was super close to the caverns and was well worth being that close. Overall the hotel was good and the beds were so comfortable. Highly recommend for a couple nights stay.
This was actually a clean and quiet place to stay. I was going to stay in Carlsbad, but I took a chance at this place and was so pleased! One staff lady was so pleasant to talk to, but the other lady was kind of rude. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again.
Our family enjoyed our stay here. We visited the living zoo then swam here. The kids loved it. The rooms are spacious and clean. We were very comfortable.
Had a great stay! Loved the water slides and pool! location was close to where we were going the next morning! We were there on a Sunday so the restaurant was closed! There is limited food options across the street! The kiddie pool looked like the bottom of the pool was moldy!
Room was clean and comfortable. We stayed for 2 days. The second day the pool, splashpad, and waterslide were unexpectedly closed down. This was disappointing as we planned to swim that afternoon. The only restaurant in town was also unexpectedly closed down the 2 days we were there. The location was very convenient to Carlsbad Caverns which was a plus.
This is a great place to stay close to the caverns. Water park for the kids. Rooms are dark, quiet and the closest hotel to Carlsbad.
People are nice and rooms are perfectly fine.
It is really dated, and the rooms were... kind of clean, if you didn't look real close. The office staff were very kind and helpful. The slide are was out of service, which was what my family wanted to stay at this hotel for. No place to get dinner, closest stores are in Carlsbad.
It is really close to the cave,
Debra

The hotel was fine for the price and a great location for the caverns. Unfortunately, our room smelled a bit like stale smoke and my kids and I all got a bit of a rash from the pool. The kids said the pool tasted horrible (they weren’t drinking the water, but had the taste on their lips), so I assume their levels are off or something. The pool was fun and the kids loved the slides. Could have done with out the rashes though.
The staff was excellent when it came to taking time to figure out the tv problems. Belinda eventually moved us cause they couldn’t be fixed. Thanks ☺️ Area behind motel needed attention as it was littered with trash and high weeds. We had a service dog with us and walking to the picnic table area at 10 pm at night was too far. We were in 130. It would’ve been nice to have a grassy area in the back to use as a dog area at night. Fresher fruit would have been nice. The apples in particular seemed a withered and old. And the oranges were very soft. Providing hot water and regular and decaf tea bags would have been nice for non coffee drinkers like myself. Thankfully I had some of my own. Even though tv channels were way better than the other room some channels were snowy and the words were blurry. Maybe a better antenna would help.
Overall we loved the rooms as they were very roomy and nice. Beds were very comfortable. Linens were very nice. If in the area again we’d stay here again. Thanks
This is a very old property. There is a pool and water slide but the lobby is nothing special and the complimentary breakfast was minimal and not appealing.
