CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY RULES and REGULATIONS
The City of Cathedral City has implemented the following guidelines for all short term vacation rentals. By making a reservation, all guests agree to abide by the following rules:
Maximum Occupancy: 10
At any time of the day, occupancy of home is limited to a maximum of two people per bedroom. For short term vacation rentals with five or more bedrooms, the maximum number of occupants is 10.
Maximum number of cars allowed: 5
A maximum of one vehicle per bedroom is allowed. Vehicles cannot block mailboxes.
Minimum age requirement to book: 25
The responsible person, which is the person entering into the rental contract and ensuring occupants comply with the short term vacation rental regulations, must be at least 25 years of age.
Requirements for compliance with the city’s noise and outdoor activity standards and regulations/ A statement that the short-term vacation rental occupants shall respect the neighbor’s privacy and peaceful enjoyment of their property
No outdoor music, radios, musical instruments, or other devices that produces or reproduces sound is allowed to be used outdoors at any time of the day. If used indoors, such sound shall not be heard beyond the property line. The use of outdoor amenities and/or outdoor games or any outdoor activities that create noise between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. is prohibited.

Responsible Person must sign a “Guest Agreement Acknowledgement” form acknowledging receipt of the information provided at check in. This Form is to be kept at the short term vacation rental during the period of rental and be immediately available if request by the City.

Will I get a citation for playing music outside?
Yes, it is a violation of CCMC §5.96.050 (E) and subject to a citation with a minimum fine of $1000.00. No outdoor music, radio, musical instrument, amplifiers, karaoke, devices that produces or reproduces sound can be used outdoors, at any time.
Will I get a citation for playing music inside?
No, however music must not be heard beyond the property line of the STVR. If music is heard beyond the property line, it is a violation of CCMC §5.96.050 (E) and subject to a citation with a minimum fine of $1000.00
Can guests use the pool after 10:00 PM?
No. Use of outdoor amenities is prohibited between the hours of 10 PM and 8 AM. A sign stating these restrictions must be clearly visible near any spa/pool or posted on all interior doors leading to the exterior amenities.

House Rules:
By making reservation, all guests agree to follow all house rules listed below:
Please close and lock all doors and windows any time before leaving the residence.
Please no smoking indoors.
If any keys are lost, we will unfortunately have to charge $400.00 to have the house re-keyed in order to ensure our home and future house guests are safe.
No pets are allowed. If pets are discovered to have been brought during your stay, there will be a $400.00 charge.
Please inquire about pool heating. There is a $150 per day charge for heating both pool/jacuzzi. If only jacuzzi heating is requested, it will cost $70 per day. We ask that pool heating be requested before your arrival to ensure pool/jacuzzi have reached desired heating temperatures as the pool can take up to 12 hours to completely heat up.
To prevent any accidents/injuries, please refrain from using glass in pool area. If ANY broken glass is found near or around the pool area, there will be a $500.00 charge to have pool cleaned for the safety of future guests.
Please no diving into pool. Pool depth ranges from 3 feet at its most shallow to 6 feet at its deepest. To prevent any injuries, please watch all children at ALL times and do not leave them unattended in or around the pool. There is no security fence around pool.
Please remove all toys from pool water when not in use. Do not leave them in water when not in use/ overnight because they will block the cleaning filters and prevent constant circulation of pool water, which prevents pool water from being cleaned.
Pool is cleaned on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays - a pool guy will stop by on these days to clean pool.
All trash is picked up on Wednesdays. Our pool guy takes out the trash bins on this day. Please try to recycle by placing all recycling goods in blue bin.
Please take out all trash bags/ trash before departing on your check-out day.
Please make sure all used dishes are washed before departing on your check-out day.
To keep our costs down (and pass those savings on to our guests) we kindly ask that you switch off lights and the A/C or heating when it is not in use or leaving the house. Mother nature thanks you too.
We understand that accidents happen so we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible.
Most importantly, please treat this home as if it were your own. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and hope you enjoy your stay!
Check-out Procedures:
-Please put all dirty towels on the floors of the bathroom.
-Please turn off all lights.
- If any furniture inside or outside was moved during your stay, please return it to its original location.
-Please make sure to lock every window and door upon departure and put keys back in lockbox.
-Please take all pool toys out of the pool and put back in front garage.
-Please make sure all TV remotes are left next to the TVs they belong to.
-Please turn off air conditioners before leaving.
-Please clean up spills, accidents, or big messes.
-Please take out all trash bags/ trash before your departure on your check-out day.
-Please wash all dishes used during your stay before your departure on your check-out day.
-Please respect the 11am check-out times as many days the house cleaners arrive right at 11am to clean for a new guest's arrival that same day.
