Travelled to Cambrai for the first time and solo. Really delighted with the hotel - incredible value for money. Comfortable, clean, close to the rail station and close to the main square where all the shops, cafes and restaurants are. Staff were welcoming and helpful although it does help if you can speak a bit of French as only one person speaks fluent English. Very helpful in helping to organise a bit of additional travel for me and ensure it all went well. Hotel felt safe for a woman travelling solo - there was always someone on the front desk. If you fancy splashing out a little bit of money, do eat in the hotel's restaurant - one of the best meals I've had. Three courses and wine for 47 euros. Beds were big and comfortable, bathroom (shower only) was sparkling clean and modern. Didn't try breakfast in the hotel as there are some amazing bakeries open at 8.00am well within walking distance. If you have a road side room there is a little bit of traffic noise in the evening, but it's all quiet by 11pm and it didn't disturb me (but then I am from London!). Would really recommend the Mouton Blanc and am definitely planning a return visit at some point.

Hotel Le Mountpn Blanc
Very pleasant stay at the hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room excellent. Good central location. Parking right outside although it is metered at certain times so have some euro coins ready. Breakfast a little pricey but enjoyable. Overall very good experience.
Le Mouton Blanc is perfectly located to explore WWI and WWII sites. The staff is excellent and very helpful with finding local attractions. The food is fabulous - the restaurant attached to the hotel is the best in town. Locals recommended it first and we agreed.
We would definitely stay again when we return.
Not impressed, some people may call it quaint, I think it was old fashioned. Floorboards need screwing down - whenever the person in the room above moved around the squeaking could be heard below.
Restaurant closed Monday
Very comfortable room, ours was roadside so very noisy though. Like all logis hotels the WiFi system is unnecessarily complicated. Don't bother with breakfast you can pop into a bakers in town in under five minutes. About a third of the price.
It was pleasant and very friendly front desk. I experienced couple of issues.
1. Communication. Other than one person, every one else could understand English. We tried and succeeded in communication but it was very very tough.
2. WiFi coverage is very poor. We always come to the front desk to work or check emails. It was impossible to connect from room.
This is a nice boutique hotel situated very close to Cambrai city center. The location is perfect and has close accessibility to all restaurants in the city center.
We used the hotel for one overnight stay. Typical Ibis, clean and comfortable. Good choice in continental breakfast. Mexican restaurant next door which was very good.
We were disappointed that we had to park in the street but we were at least able to park in front of the hotel by late evening rather than on a back street. The twin beds were an excellent size (I am 6' 2" so I appreciate a decent size bed). Slightly bizarre decorating but it made a change from the usual blandness. The evening meal was traditional but good and the house wine enjoyable. Electric shuuters!
We travel in France at least three times a year and always stay in Logis until we reach our destination. Le Mouton Blanc is the worst logis in nwhich we have stayed. It was raining when we arrived. We were shown our room.. Rain was pouring into the room from a rotten window frame. We pointed this out to the person on duty. He was not surprised, and offered us anther room. This roomwas dry. but dingy. The restaurant was closed, it being sunday!!
The attitude of the staff member on duty left a lot to be desired.
Do not stay at Le Mouton Blanc
This hotel is truly appalling, over priced and, astonishingly, three star rated by the French tourism bureau. Although well presented at ground floor level once you ascend the stairwell decor is dire. There is clearly a lack of funding for refurbishment but the choices that have been made are incredible. We were in Room 9 - a large family room. Carpets were carpet squares none stuck down. Bathroom floor was ill cut and ruffled up linoleum. Fixtures and fittings were a complete hotch potch of ill advised cheap and nasty 'stuff'. Light hangings were unattatched with wires showing. Telephone was not plugged in. Nothing matched and a wide array of furniture was present including a huge old safe! The room smelt of cigarettes so we opened the windows - outside was a flooded flat roof with the kitchen vents lying horizontal to our room. This could have provided easy access to our room and the bleak outlook of junk was simply awful let alone the noise of the extraction vent. The bathroom was a disaster zone. The loo was not parrallel to the wall but at perhaps a 45 degree angle! You could not actually reach the loo roll which was behind one. The bath shower attachment could only be used by holding it and so one needed to squat in the curtainless bath and inevitably the floor was soaked afterwards. The towels (thin, small, very well used and not enough for us all) had a plastic blue towel stand. Need I go on?!
