The hotel is definitely worth the great reviews. Staff is very nice and friendly. Hotel and room are very clean, nice, spacious and well thought. I spent 1 week in the 1 person room, there was everything: nice large bathroom, large shower, TV with international channels, good internet, kettle, mini fridge, hair dryer, desk for computer, little reading light on the bed, etc. it was perfect. I was facing the Coliseum, while I could hear people going there late afternoon, there never was significant noise in the evening. The buffet breakfast also exceeded expectation, definitely very nice! The Pool was very enjoyable, nice view on the city. While the hotel is not in the best looking part of town, it is closed to Magellan's Cross, Fort San Pedro, Plaza Independencia, ferry to Bohol, etc. There is huge shopping center with supermarket, restaurants, etc. behind (on both side of the hotel). Note: the check in is on the 9 floor - from the airport it took 1h20 taxi ride due to the heavy traffic. Going back to airport was somehow quicker (about 1/2 hour).

the area around the hotel is not the responcibility of the hotel,the hotel itself is verry good,i read some reviews about being limited to 1 cup of coffee at breakfast,not true,you can have as much as you want of everything,and you do have a wide choice

They seemed to want to “game you” at every opportunity to collect more money from you. The AC barely works, the refrigerator kept going out. Rooms were small and TV didn’t work well. Overall - room was average at best. The one saving grace for hotel was a very nice breakfast.

need to call the maintenance coz of clog toilet that result the water overflow on bowl,..and need to call the reception to replace the towel which the maintenance used it to dry up the floor...and yes, someone came to replace it. but didn't replace the empty tissue role and didn't took the the full garbage...so need to call it again place it good but not the service.
