Air conditioning was great in the room. Staff was very nice to ME, but not to most others I spoke with. A shame. Being kind costs nothing.
NO attention to cleanliness. Big wad of black hair in my shower, dirty mirror, microwave not cleaned, pool area was filthy…..two days after a barbecue….grease all over the table….same huge bugs dead on the pool deck, bottle caps in the pool, etc.
There seems to be NO pride in keeping up the property…The paint on the walls is peeling off, painted over with bright white paint in spots, etc….carpets in rooms frayed, seemingly dirty, etc….One guest moved to another hotel because she was killing roaches in her room….
Overall…..The bed was really comfortable, the people I met (guests) were very sweet…Breakfast staff nice….Desk helpful to me…not so nice to others….
Look…it doesn’t cost much to clean and it costs nothing to smile…..more of the above would increase the ratings significantly…..
Lastly…..the Manager was speaking with two guests on my last day there. She assured them that the hotel was up to standard. My question to her is…..WHOSE STANDARD?
My choice to stay here was solely based on price point and being trapped due to weather. My advice….Spend a bit more money and stay somewhere that actually cares about the guest experience….
