The absolute best thing about this property was the customer service. As soon as I walked in the lobby I was greated by Karen with a warm smile and was addressed me by my first name. Obvisously I was the last one to check in for the evening so her process of elimination was correct. But either way, It felt special and she was super courteous, accommodating and very sweet. She checked me in quickly and explained everything about the property in detail. Checked in and now heading to my room... I'll be honest, the exterior of this place is sort of rough. A concrete jungle! The buildings exterior has potential due to its age and style. Also, the views through the corridors to the surrounding hotels and businesses makes it feel sort of cold and dingy. I would figure out a way to clean up the hotel grounds, dress up the exterior, and play off the exteriors retro vibe. More plants!! Ok. the room itself was surprinsgly very nice and modern. Once in the room you kind of forget about the outside. My room (303) was clean and newly remodeled. However, It still smelled like paint and a little musty from either old cigarette smoke or moisture. The kitchnette was super modern and even came with a cooktop, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with good water pressure. There were some things that I would change/fix. The closet did not have any hangers, tape left over on fixtures from painting and the shower door opens when closed due to it not being leveled.
