The location of the property is excellent, right along the highway and convenient with restaurants and gas right beside. The staff are outstanding - the front desk manager is the best part about this place, she is funny and caring and genuinely wants every guest to have the very best experience possible. She made tons of reccomendations for sites to visit nearby and encouraged me to call back if I couldn't find lodging for my second night and she would do her best - can't say enough about her. I can't comment on the on site meals/dining as we didn't take advantage of them (there was a comedy show booked for when we checked in so we just went next door to Jungle Jim's). I had read online the concerns with the dirty carpets in the rooms and lack of hot water - I wanted them to not be true but they were true. I didn't complain about it to the desk because it's not their fault and it's not going to be new news to them either I am sure, and something that upper management should be addressing. Our room was just up from the men's public washroom on level 1 and the smell is as described on other reviews. The carpets are stained and do have a musty smell throughout, including in the rooms. The bedding itself was clean and fresh and the room was comfortable otherwise. This morning both of us had cold showers - and by the time we went to check out, the hot water faucet in the bathroom sink didn't even have any water coming out of it. This was just between 7-8am on Sunday morning.
