The staff was terrible--rude and unhelpful. I had to walk 45 minutes in the cold, ice, and snow because when I tried to book a second night at Premier Inn, I didn’t know there was more than one in Koln, and absolutely nobody could fix it, nor did they care. There were obviously many rooms available when I arrived after noon, but the front desk refused to let me check in early. I ended up walking ten miles, which would have been fine an a warm day, but treacherous for an older woman unfamilar with the city. Some compassion would have been welcome but I got only impersonal chatbots and codes.
