Good stay
Great location, only a quick 5 min walk to Koln HBF station. Plenty of food opitions on the street. The hotel itself offers everything from a snack bar to free sparkling water which was a bonus. Only downside was the lack of soundprofing in the walls. People can be very inconsiderate and make noise at late times of the evening.

Staff were very good, welcoming and friendly. We had the basic rooms but they were fine, clean, warm, good bathroom. Breakfast choice was good. Nice range of cereals, breads, fruit, continental meats, cheeses and pastries. There was no kettle in the room but we were able to take drinks up from the reception area.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a little out of the way for some of the things we wanted to do but it only added a little bit more walking. The property itself was very well maintained and we would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Property was in a good location. I liked the conversation fire pit in the main lobby and the 24/7 bar and snack options. Staff was friendly and nice! Shower tended to get water everywhere and the beds weren't the most comfortable. Room was hot and could not get the AC to blow cold air so we slept with the window open but that caused a lot of noise from the trains being the central station is right there and they run pretty late.

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. When I checked in I asked about a potential upgrade and I was ready to pay for it. The woman at the reception upgraded me to a bigger corner unit on the highest floor overlooking the church and the central station, for free. I couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended.

Great location, parking was difficult to get to due to construction. There were holes in our sheets and we didn’t notice till we went to bed. Check in process was okay, we were told to use the self-check in, which gave us difficulty and ended up being helped by the staff anyways.

I had a very enjoyable stay, and I’m grateful to the staff who made it so. The area around the hotel wasn’t great, yet it was a perfect location for the purposes of my trip and I certainly didn’t feel unsafe walking around. My only niggle with the hotel was its policy on coffee, which seemed to be served only between 11.30pm and 11.30am (there was no kettle in the room). This encouraged me to over consume coffee when it was available, which in turn had an unfortunate impact on me later that day (I didn’t make that mistake twice)! The room itself was very nicely laid out, and reasonably quiet. Plus there was no argument about me keeping it for an extra hour after the official check out time, which was truly appreciated. Oh, and the overhead shower in the bathroom was brilliant and, unlike other hotels I’ve stayed in recently, there was no limitation on how hot you could make it. So yes – Urban Loft was a great choice for a 3-night stay in Cologne, and I would recommend it to other travellers.
