Location was incredible and building is very cool. Restaurant was great and had incredible views. Keep in mind if the temperature is 50-60 farenheit your room may be very hot and their materials indicate that heating and cooling happen very slowly due to eco-friendliness.

Stunning property and location with the only big negative being the entry to the hotel was always surrounded by smokers so that there was no way to get into or out of the hotel without running the gauntlet of a strong smell of smoke. Not just an issue for this hotel but most of Europe. If they just made a zone for smokers that kept them from being right at the door it would make things far more enjoyable.

Admiral is a beautiful hotel with a nautical vibe. Large rough hewn wood timbers in the rooms and lobby give a cool feel. Well Located for tourist sights. But not too busy. Staff was kind. Beds were soooo cozy and sheets were soft. Bathroom with warmed floors and cool fixtures. Loved it.

Perfectly situated to explore Copenhagen. Had a room facing the water which was quiet even though there was work being carried out on the outside of the hotel. Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast although a little expensive was absolutely worth it, didn’t need to eat again until dinner in the evening.

Great hotel

Wonderful place to stay in Copenhagen!! Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent location. Taxis are directly in front and always available. Love sitting in the Aye Aye bar that looks out over the harbor!!

The location is great - go out one side and you can walk along the water to the Mermaid statue and a beautiful park or out the other side to canals, shops and restaurants. Room was clean and well laid out. The problem was we didn’t sleep either of the nights there…isn’t that the main reason you get a hotel room? We set the temperature to 17.5 but were so hot we couldn’t use blankets and were up much of the first night. Asked the front desk the next morning and they said their cooling system wasn’t on yet so they would turn the room heat off (I specifically asked if they would do this or if I should). When we got back late that night, nothing had changed. We tried sleeping with the window open since that was the only way to cool the room off but both nights were awakened by trash or other loud noises around 2 am. Poor service and a bad system for the price you’re paying for the hotel. I’d recommend elsewhere.

Copenhagen Hygge hotel

Best hotel stay on a second visit to Copenhagen. This hotel sits quietly propped up near the castle and the canal. Very sophisticated inside but also warm. the room was was fantastic for a superior room and the windows were nice to bring in a breeze. The amenities were luxury and room was cleaned daily. Loved it.

The hotel is good. The beds were very comfortable. We were on the top floor, where rooms have two levels. Not suitable for those with difficulty climbing stairs. TV in the living area and in the bedroom upstairs. But only one remote was working and they did not come to repair the other. Excellent rain shower. They require a deposit upon check-in. This is returned after departure, but one may loose out due to exchange rate. Copenhagen is a very attractive city but VERY expensive.

I am late in posting this review, but I can't say enough good things about the Admiral Hotel. The staff at the Admiral went above and beyond for us. My husband had gotten ill on the trip over from New York. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning -- long before our check in time, and it was during the holiday season, but the staff helped us to get into a room early. It truly would have been a miserable day (at a minimum) if not for the kindness of the Admiral staff. Beyond that, the hotel was also wonderfully comfortable, with very good amenities, including an excellent breakfast buffet. It was a great place to celebrate our Christmas holiday.

Beautiful hotel building with character in the detail. Front desk staff were helpful, accommodating and personable. I was happy to accept the offer to upgrade to waterfront view, it was worth it for us. Location was easy to get to by motor transport or walking. Right on the water front wooden pier, with plenty to explore, see and do near-by. The rooms were beautiful, with adequate bedding. Beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were beautiful. There was construction going on out front, but it didn’t cause any disturbance. I wasn’t impressed with the service in the hotel bar, customers were left without service for far too long, and so we didn’t attempt the hotel restaurant, but this could’ve been a one-off. We chose to go out to eat and drink afterwards instead, so didn’t attempt to test that theory. I’d still recommend this hotel and would go back
