No one is at the hotel you have to call a number and then you check in thru the phone. You get a text message with room and door code. The free complimentary breakfast is at a store down the road….apple orange 2 choices of cereal from a container. They give you 15% off if you order breakfast from their store

Absolutely loved the fact that the room was set up like a mini apartment. Everything was cozy and convenient. The staff was helpful and freindly while not being intrusive. I would recommend getting a feel for where the restaurants are ahead of the visit. That was the only draw back. You had to drive a bit to find food.

The property looks abandoned when you drive in. There was no one in the office either. I was afraid I had gotten scammed. But I found a number to call. And talked to a man. He sent me my room number and access. Code number via text. Which was fine. If I had known this in advance I wouldn’t have minded. The room was fine. Perfectly clean. I would stay here again.

A hidden gem
Great friendly staff. Room was ultra clean and provided everything needed. A smaller sized room with a queen bed but very adequate. Mattress was very comfortable. Sam, and the rest of the staff were very accomodating. Minor hassle to go down the street for ice, meals, etc but worth it. Pulling into the property you might not think much about this place but your will like the cleanliness and all the comforts of home.

The place is humble and the rooms are nice and clean. The staff was one person name Sam. Very nice person. Check in was slow we had to call a number on the office window and wait for Sam to check us in.

Rooms very clean.
We got to the hotel about 5 p.m. office is supposed to open 8-8. Office was locked. Had to call a phine number and talk to someone to get information to get in our room. It was a little inconvenient but it all worked out. Rooms were very clean and the gentleman i spoke with was very friendly

50% of plug-ins didn’t work. Couldn’t use hair dryer because it was bolted to the wall, leaving the plug-in an inch short of being able to plug it in, which didn’t matter because that plug-in was dead anyway. Light on right side of bed didn’t work, dead plug-in. Coffee was good. Bed was comfortable. Jacuzzi blew water all over. And, Yes the spouts were under water. Sorry for saying all of this. QUIET, COMFY, CHARMING...AWAY FROM EVERYTHING
Definitely NOT your average motel. However, we did find it charming and comfortable. Felt like we were in a room in someone's home or maybe a dorm. Very clean and tidy. Well appointed with everything one might require for a short stay. Only issue we had is the property is located at least 10 miles from the things we were looking for (stores/known restaurants). This can be a good thing but not after a long drive getting there. Take your own food.

Although the room was clean, it had the smell of stale cigarette smoke, which gave me a sore throat and made my eyes burn. Also, the mattress was so hard that I woke up with bad back pain. I called them early the first night to tell them that we would not be staying the second night and that I needed the refund for the second night. They said that they would work on the refund, but the next day they called me and went back on their word to me about the refund. They said I had to take it up with Travelocity, but Travelocity said that it had to come from the North Star Inn, who still refused to give it.

I stood in room 101. That room had a slice in the door that you can see the light coming through. There a truck rest stop across the street with the big slice on the door I did not feel safe. The area that you get the breakfast from at the location is closed you have to drive down the street. This was not stated when booking. Supposely this inn is under new owners so they havent had time to fix the door in between bookings. I left one day early and was told to call expedia from the owner because he couldnt do a refund fot the one day since I book from expedia. Expedia told me to call him. Just not the best experience overall. Next time I would pay more money to stay at a hotel not a inn.

I like the hotel room quiet place until another guest arrives with dogs kids but it’s a nice place to stay people is friendly just the breakfast very poor not in a good restaurant I didn’t like the restaurant need a lot improved
