Upon our arrival at the hotel, a staff member advised against booking through Expedia, urging us to book directly instead, which struck me as odd. While I understand they may receive a discounted rate from Expedia, such a made me feel like we were not welcome. The initial room we were assigned, 520, right by the elevator and it was emitting a strong odor resembling spilled cleaner, it was difficult to breath. Fortunately, a staff member relocated us to a different room.I began to consider whether our status as Expedia members led us to receive subpar room choices. However, this is solely my subjective viewpoint.
Despite this initial hiccup, our overall stay was delightful.
