Went to check in to the property and was told since it was our anniversary that they would “upgrade” us to their sister property. It wasn’t an upgrade. It’s an older hotel and it was a recently renovated room. They stated the upgrade would include a balcony with a view. The view was the street. Overall just very unhappy how it was presented. If they had told us they overbooked the hotel and asked us to move we would have but don’t sell it as an upgrade when it’s not.

This hotel is rated highly in many social media posts. No doubt its location and updates are very good However, the price of the stay was excessive compared to other hotels. This hotel was at least double to cost of other hotels which offer comparable amenities and often include breakfast. Would not choose to stay here again.

Very nice quiet location with shops and restaurants and walking paths mere steps away. Friendly, helpful staff gave suggestions on fun activities and arranged tickets to Banff gondola. Everything worked and facility was clean. We also enjoyed our daily coffee, tea or cocoa break in the lounge after a long day of exploring.
