Stanford Resort is a great and affordable option for staying near Fernie. As someone with experience in the Hospitality industry, I was pleased by the friendliness of the staff and overall cleanliness of the property. A few things to note were while the room and hotel were very clean, we did have to ask for some soap for our room. Not a big deal, but a quick room check post-cleaning might be a good idea. Additionally, the hotel might want a few new luggage carts. Our room was in the basement and coming off the mountain we had a lot of ski gear to bring in and dry out. One cart was having trouble with the wheels and the other we tried had difficulty moving as well. It was especially difficult to get them in and out of the elevator. All in all, the hotel was great, the staff was friendly and I would stay here again next time I find myself in Fernie.

The jetted tub room needed some updating. The breakfast area was very small for the size but the food was good. Overall I would easily stay there again for the staff, town and how quiet it was.

It was dirty. Jacuzzi tub had hair in it and the wall had brown streaks on the wall, visible from the loft. Told them and they switched us rooms. That room's Jacuzzi was full of hair and had a dirty ring around the tub. They had someone come in and clean it. Well when they were done, I told them the ring is still there and I used their cleaning cloth to scrub and showed them how to get it off. Once it was OK, they left. Then we noticed fruit flies in the room, we could not find the source but we mangaged to get rid of most. Before we used the tub we went and got aome cleaner to run through a cleaning cycle. Cleaning standard is very low. Bed was comfortable.
