One of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The property exterior looked like it hadn't been updated in 20 years. Rusted. Cracked stairs. Missing paint. When I entered the room, the toilet was running (I adjusted the toilet to fix it), the smoke detector was chirping (maybe needs a new battery), and the white bed covers looked dingy and dirty. The hot water in the shower lasted less than five minutes. I had initially booked this La Quinta for three nights, but was so disgusted by the first night that I left and booked a couple nights at a different hotel.

The place is old, it doesn't look at all like the pictures. To enter the place you can only use one door. Check in was fast, the parking lot, was ok, but a little dark. The room was the worse room I have ever stayed in my travels. The chair by the desk, it literally looked that somebody died on it, nasty stain and smelled. The lamps near the beds had no light bulbs what so ever. The beds were very uncomfortable and the mattress was old, felt lumpy. The room had a light odor that later on we realized that it was coming from the toilet. The toilet had a leak and water was pooling each time you flushed the toilet, next to the toilet (this was my first time ever) seen a plunger in a hotel, so they were aware of the problem. The tub, was dirty, it had hair from the previous guest, the sink also had hair and toothpaste stain. Breakfast was until 9am but it was gone by 8am when we went to the lobby. Avoid this place at all cost.

This "Country Estate", needs an upgrade!
Property in need of physical repair. Cracked concrete stairs, the phone in the room did not work, and the bathtub dingy. It looks like this hotel could use a corporate upgrade

Sleazebag motel
Slept good, but room had stains in sink, toilet and trim long tub was coming apart. Behind furniture, very dirty and dusty. Stain on carpet, from what I saw I reviews I seen his is a sleaze motel. They could care less. Breakfast was waffles and apples and not sure if they had anything else. Nothing hot. This motel need help!

The hotel itself isn't horrible, however upon leaving I was charged the wrong amount, and had a damage charge posted for something that I didn't do. The staff at the front desk were extremely unhelpful and didnt make an effort to explain the situation. Additionally, beware of their reservation system as I checked out around 4am and received a receipt for my stay showing that I checked out at 10:41am which isn't possible as I was on an airplane. Business seems a little shady to me.

Don’t stay unless you are broke.
Right next to the I70 freeway so I had to listen to traffic all night. There were ear wig bugs on the desk. The breakfast is all carbs and an apple. It is a motel not a hotel. I expected more from La Quinta. Very cheap. Spend the extra money and go deeper into Golden. Yuck!

Kind of a dive
The booking was easy and checkin went smoothly. I was disappointed that my room was on the 3rd floor, and the elevators non operational. The hotel is large and it was definitely not booked. There was animal feces on the second floor landing, tossed cigarette butts tossed on the grounds - stairs - landings. The room itself was adequate, but it was a bummer that the linens/covers/towels are worn, stained, and even burn holes in the bedding. I stayed at this hotel 3 years ago, and do not recall such a poor state of things. I won’t be booking here again.

Hotel needs care
I expected more from La Quinta, this hotel is very 'worn', they were not renting rooms on the 1st floor and the elevator shakes and grinds. Wont stay here again, for $15 more I can stay at a much nicer hotel. Worth it.
