The staff at this hotel missed opportunities to make our stay memorable in a good way. This is our 2nd stay at the hotel and we were there celebrating a special ocassion -something I made known on our reservation. 1. There was no acknowledgement of being a repeat guest nor the special ocassion we were celebrating - partly because checkin is done on our own at a kiosk. However, I did go to the reception desk to complete our checkin as I wanted to avail of the early check in which I « pre-ordered » for 30€ through one of the pre-arrival emails. The kiosk showed 40€, hence why I went to the reception desk but lo & behold, I was charged 45€ instead by the agent. At this point, one would think the agent would then see my notes and acknowledge our special occassion. 2. Upon arriving to the room, I immediately asked the housekeeper for 2 addtl floor mats. I already knew from my previous stay that I need more than 1 mat to soak up the water that tends to splash from the shower since the stall is open. Every day that they turned down the room, they took my 3 floor mats that Ive had to ask each day and just left me with 1. Perhaps I expected too much that housekeeping would note my preference for 3 flr mats - something other hotels would have noticed & noted. 2a. By the last night, our shower gel bottle was empty and it was not replenished & we couldn’t make a call bec there was no phone in our room - only some wires sticking out; & we were too exhausted to have to go back down to ask
