The property itself was good. Room was clean, comfortable bed, fair price. However, it was very poor on service. We had towels for three yet we booked for four. We called to the front desk for towels and no towels were ever delivered. Before bed we called down asking for breakfast hours and were told open until 10. We arrived in the breakfast area at 9 and all food was removed, only to find out it actually ended at 9. Upon checking with the front desk for options, a discount, voucher for breakfast somewhere else, etc. no apology was offered, only that we were mistaken and it is a complimentary breakfast so no value could be offered back to us. Very frustrating and so sad to see this type of service these days. 30 years ago it would be unheard of to not have them apologizing and doing what they could to make it right. To top it off, as we were walking away from the front desk she had the audacity to offer a sarcastic Merry Christmas. There was not an ounce of true Merry Christmas in her statement, apparently feeling that we should be “grateful” for the circumstances. Just so, so sad. When will leadership in these businesses insist on customer service again as a priority?
